Serving style : 12 oz glass bottle poured into serving glass

Appearance (4) : 3 finger head that stays and floats. Laces the glass nicely even after several minutes. Blood red moon color with a faint copper hue. They're not kidding with the name. aaaAAAAARrrrrrooooooooOOOO!!

Smell (4) : This is a good nose. Rich, toasted barley. Caramel malt. "Golden Crisp" cereal (you know what I'm talkin' bout!). Nutty. Honey and toffee. Really nice nose.

Taste (3.75) : First, you get an interesting mix of toasted amber wheat and sour pale ale. A blind tester could tell off the bat it was an ale and not a lager. Rich roasted peanuts. Coffee bean. The honey and toffee notes come in about halfway through, finishing off with a rich, thick malt and more peanut hull. If I had to say one word about this brew it would be "tasty". It gets tiring quickly though, so drink it slow and make it last.

Mouthfeel (3.75) : You can't really pound it, it's pretty full bodied. But really, why would you want to? Spend 10 minutes drinking this beer, it's about the flavor. With that being said it's robust and lightly carbonated. Creamy. Caramely. The body comes through nicely and overwhelms the carbonation, so that's a good thing. Ends slightly slimy but it's not bothersome.

Overall (3.88) : Yes, this is a beer I would drink again. It is a beer to be enjoyed and it is not bashful in its flavor. The faint at heart will probably gawk and make faces, but this beer is rich in taste and has a lot going for it. I highly recommend the Werewolf.

Werewolf Pours a brownish color with a nice foamy head. There is a very weak aroma, some salty peanut notes. The flavor is pronounced, big hazelnut flavors, and a stale malt flavor. The body is a bit watery, but flavors are still there. Overall its a nice beer, nice body, and some good hazelnut flavors.
