12oz. bottle poured into a pint glass and served at 45F.

A - Burnt orange with nice effervescence but a really watery head. No foaminess or froth too it, just weak bubbles.

S - Little bit of a sour tang, really muted grain smells.

T - Not offensive but very meek. We are approaching BMC territory... and a pale ale with no hop presence? hmmmm....

M - Drinks like a flat Shiner bock. Easy to drink, but little in the way of satisfaction.

O - Good thing it was free, I'd leave this alone.

Beer pours a solid amber color, with a little bit of white foam.

Beer smells a bit grassy and slightly of sweet caramel malts. Not very hoppy.

Beer taste sweet and malty, with a bit of spicy and slightly floral hops on the back end. Not too terribly overpowering.

Mouthfeel is slightly carbonated but very easy drinking.

An OK pale ale.

A blighty good brew the bottle says... Well its certainly an "ok" one...

Appearance: Quite bright, almost florescent straw color with a hint of caramel. Not much head going on but there seems to be some nice lacing an a halo of foam around the meniscus.

Smell: Straight forward, simple and understated. Gently hopped with what I presume is traditional English bittering hops. Good malt balance. Slight metallic note but nothing truly off putting.

Taste: Pretty well balanced but unremarkable. No off flavours really. This would be very drinkable stuff.

Mouthfeel: Nicely carbonated, and nice bitter finish

Overall: Not great, but decent. A good addition to their excellent and world famous brown ale.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a Dogfish Head Signature Glass.

Color: Clear amber with a khaki head.

Smell: Bready malts up front followed by cinnamon and brown sugar.

Taste: I get the bready malts and cinnamon up front follwed by the brown sugar.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, Smooth with a medium dryness on the palate.

Overall: Light bodied with an OK blance. Not a bad brew by any means. Just not going to go buy a six pack of it. Worth a try for sure. Cheers.
