Into a pint glass:

A: crystal clear copper yet transparent colored body and has a light amount of carbonation seen rising. The small white head only lasts about a minute and then dies. It leaves spotty yet foamy rings as the beer goes down.

S: pale malts with some fruitiness. However, I did detect some soap as well.

T: very light bitterness with the pale malts and the fruits coming back, however there really isn't much exciting about this beer.

M: light, and a bit watery with not a whole lot of carbonation. This is a pretty drinkable beer.

O: this is nothing special. I was hoping for a really great Spring brew, but am slightly disappointed. I'd only have this on tap depending upon what else was served.

look: 4.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5

Appearance - Pours a clear, deep copper with an off-white 2 finger head, good retention, and resulting in a nice lace.

Smell - Faint, sweet malt aromas; nut and bread.

Taste - Light, sweet malt flavors: bread and caramel. Hops are hidden, but their presence provide good balance.

Mouthfeel - Light to medium body. Carbonation makes for a crisp, semi-dry finish.

Overall - A good offering from Newcastle. The flavors are somewhat tame, but there's a nice all-around balance. Certainly drinkable, and not a bad option for session drinking.

An okay ale. Seems mass produced and lacking passion. Gives some slight promising character, but doesn't deliver a real firm punch. Could have been a whole lot more, but it's clear these guys are catering to the mass market. Decent, but not anything spectacular.

A: The beer is crystal clear copper in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high frothy white head that has good retention properties and left a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass..
S: There are aromas of pale malts in the nose along with some notes of fruity yeast and hints of tea leaves.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of pale malts and fruity yeast along with notes of biscuits and crackers. Some notes of tea leaves are noticeable in the finish. There is a very slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light-bodied and a bit watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: There’s nothing overly special about the taste but this beer goes down like a breeze and is quite quaffable.

A: Copper hue with a thin head; bubbly; good lacing

S: Grainy and bready: really toasty, slightly burnt; some herbal and grassy notes from the hops

T: Much more bitterness up front than I expected from the aromas; herbal, grassy hops but the sweet bready malt balances this out rather nicely

F: A touch over-carbonated and thin though a good oily residue gives this beer enough mouth feel

O: An easy drinking English pale ale; nothing incredibly crazy here--just a drinkable, simple brew but I like it nonetheless

A: Amber-color. Pours with a very thin head. While it's no porter, it is darker than many pale ales.

S: Nothing special. Despite the low ABV, you can smell the alcohol. It is not an aromatic beer.

T: Good full-bodied taste. Plenty of hops, but not overpowering like New Belgium's Ranger. It is grainy and sweet.

M: For something with such a thin head, it is certainly well-carbonated. Classic pale ale sharpness. The feel is like that of a stronger beer. It is very smooth.

O: An easy-to-drink pale ale that is a great value ($8 or $9 for a sixer). A great way to introduce your friends to the joys of pale ales. It has the sharp edge you expect, but not as hard as the Ranger or Sam Adams' Latitude 48.

look: 4 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Appearance - 4/5 - transparent copper, pours a one finger white head that disappears fairly quickly

smell - 4/5 - can't smell anything but I think that is due to the charcoal grill near me

Taste - 3.5/5 - I instantly tasted the same strange flavor that permeates their nut brown ale. I'm beginning to think it is the water creating the flavor, but I don't know for sure. Aside from that, I find it more enjoyable than the brown. While it has a faint sweet flavor, it leaves a dry aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - 3.5/5 - seems like a moderate amount of carbonation that doesn't add our take away from the beer.seems to have a medium body and is somewhat refreshing

Overall - 3.5/5 - not a bad brew, but kind of ho hum overall. I could care less whether I drank it again or not

Pours a toasted straw/honey color with a thin soapy off white head that quickly settles into a light cap.

The aroma is a bit grainy with a hint of brown sugar or honey sweetness. The beer has a light floral hop scent in the end.

The taste is light with an overally grainy flavor. Not too heavy on the grain but there is not much else there so you pick the grain up. Has a bright sweetness to it and is slightly balanced with a floral and grassy hop. Not much of a hop presence though.

The feel is light and crisp and fairly clean. An easy drinking brew with not much of an aftertaste.

This beer borders on the european lager taste profile even though it is an ale. It does have a slight hop presence. Not much going on in the ways of the malt.

A: Nice and bronze. Looks really thick and plentiful for a pale ale. Lacing is also thick but not very quantified and is extremely transparent after a few seconds on the mug rim.

S: Smells GREAT. Smells like fresh ferns and flowers. Hoppy weeds... hoppy wheat. The presence of scent from this brew is extreme and fills your nostrils immediately - no denying it.

T: Not as good as what I expected after the appearance and smell were both nearly ace. Sort of a bland taste I guess - kind of like regular Newcastle, but less malty and less creamy. Has the same kind of aftertaste that Newcastle has, which is fairly mediocre in my opinion. 3.0 Average sounds right.

M: Also average. The mouthfeel isn't BAD... it's not LIGHT. But I expected much more. How can a beer that looks so perfect in the mug be so mediocre when it comes to reality? Strange, this is definitely not a common situation for me.

Overall: Not as good as Newcastle, which in my opinion is already pretty mediocre/average. I can definitely drink a pack of these without complaining, and if someone had a keg of it somewhere I would be pretty psyched compared to a keg of Bud Light. But all in all, there are definite better brews to spend your 8.99-or-so on. C rated, average.

Appearance: I pours a clear copper with brassy scattered brassy hues. On top is about one finger of an off white head.

Aroma: Bready malts slightly doughy, dry floral hops with a twinge of mustiness. Light citrus towards the back. Bits of lemon zest and orange peel.

Taste: Biscuity, light doughiness, fairly crisp mouthfeel. Hops are dry but carry a light citrus note. Minor spice, with a dry finish.

Notes: Well it's not too bad and it's drinkable very good for a warm day. Cheers.
