Poured from an undated 12 oz. bottle: light and clear golden hue with a foamy white head that quickly dissipates leaving some attractive lacing.
The aroma is faintly lemony and fruity; somewhat underwhelming.
The ale has a surprisingly sharp bitterness up front; unfortunately, the hop flavor is faint and muddled. There is a little fruitiness present and some tangy flavor in the aftertaste. As the ale warms, there is a slight butterscotch flavor. The label states the ale has "toasted malt"; I do not detect this in the flavor profile, but this is a light summer quencher after all.
Light bodied with a thin, watery and sharp mouthfeel. The zesty carbonation does keep this one refreshing. Very little lingering flavors on the palate.
While not very distinctive, it is refreshing and quaffable for another humid summer day in the nineties. I am pleased to see Newcastle expanding their product line.

Had on tap at the Corner Slice in Greensboro last night.Poured into a standard pint glass a clear light golden color with a nice looking sticky one finger bone white head atop.Toasted malts mainly in the nose,a hint of sweetness but not much.Crisp feel and toasted crisp flavors with a bit of iron as well on the palate. It's light and I didn't expect much but it went down real easy.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into and pint glass. The label lists the abv at 4.4% and there is a short description of the beer on the back.
Appearance: The body has a nice clear golden yellow color with about a finger thick white head on top. The head faded quickly leaving a nearly naked beer in the glass.
Smell: In the nose I get a mild grassy hop presence with a slight touch of lemony citrus hops and very light sour dough bread notes as well.
Taste/Palate: Bombshells flavor starts with a base of sourdough bread like maltiness with a thin grassy and flat earthy hop presence for balance. I also picked up some light toasted notes and even a very slight oxidized flavor in the finish.
Notes: Overall this one just didn’t impress me.
