Serving type: 12 oz pour from tap at the brewery in a NICE Becher glass.
A: Straw color. Not your usually cloudy Hef. Does not define this beer!
S: GREAT banana bread aroma - like the first slice into the loaf. Slight spice.
T: Again with the above baked ref. More banana & some subtle fruit. slight bread/biscuit. Most of the Hefs give you an after taste. Some good, other not. THIS one is GREAT.
M: Full lacking nothing even with the low ABV. Like it even more than for that fact alone.
O: WOW you have not had this beer before. Loved it. Better than Grammas banana bread. Wish I could have had more. Will always be my FAV.

A: Yellow. mostly clear with only light cloudy appearance
S: Faint aroma - wheat malt, bready smell
T: Traditional hef flavors. no perceptable alcohol flavor and no hop bite. Mild, bready aftertaste
M: Smooth with a hint of light creamy feel on the tongue
O: Traditional hefeweizen made to please a broad spectrum of drinkers. Good choice when looking for a hef.

My introduction to Absolution Brewing; hefeweizen. Served on-tap at the brewery itself, on to the beer:
Not cloudy like other hefeweizens. In fact, there's just a little haze in this blonde colored beer. Topping it is a creamy head which leaves glops of lacing around. The standard aroma of clove and banana is present, and pleasant, and soft. The taste doesn't show much of the spice, opting to go fruity banana, soft grassy notes, and a perfume-like banana crème. It's light bodied with carbonation being low (I prefer more pep in my weizens), which wraps up this beer as a refreshing option.
