Visited this place for the first time last night, having seen their billboard advertising "56 taps" many times on my way to Troegs.
On the main street in Palmyra, which is also Rt422. Ample parking. This place used to be a family restaurant, but recently built an addition. The two parts are separated very nicely, so if you don't want the bar scene, you still have the option of the family restaurant side. Bar side is very nice, not huge, but very comfortable. Stone work and wood trimings. Booths, barseating, tables, and high tables.
Selection of beer is outstanding. The thing I loved the most isthat the 3 BMC offerings are printed toward the bottom of the beer menu, almost as an afterthought, in other words, the complete opposite of the norm. Taps rotate frequently, but the menu was very up to date. They offer 4 ($7) & 8 ($13) beer flights, 4.5oz I believe, and you can chose from ANY of their drafts, be it a 10.7 wheatwine or a 4.8 hefeweizen.
Staff are friendly, good humored, and at least in the case of our server, very knowledagble about the beer. And there are a lot of them, so you are not kept waiting for anything. Thursday night happened to be trivia night, so that was fun. They have live music on Fridays.
A full menu, wife had a pasta dish she was very happy with, I had the strip steak ($2.50 off on Thursdays, medium rare, arrived just right. Several burger options looked pretty good.
All in all, a very enjoable experience, will definitely be here again.

While in the Hershey area, I stopped by for a few late dinners. The first night was their all you can eat fried chicken special. I haven't had fried chicken in years but this seemed like a tasty version.
The beer selection was very good (56 taps), and my wife and I both got flights. Mine included Rogue Old Crustacean, a barley wine which is a style I had never heard of them making. Plenty of local options like Troegs and Victory round out the menu.
The second night, I ordered the buffalo chicken sliders appetizer, this was well prepared. My only food complaint was my wife's buffalo chicken wrap. The chicken was a little too well sauced and it caused a dripping situation from the wrap. (Certainly not limited to this restaurant, I find many cannot keep wrap sandwiches dry enough.)
Where Funck's shined through was the service. Both servers were quite attentive and social without being overbearing. The first server obviously was not a serious craft beer expert but double checked he had our flight options correct and gave his limited input. When my wife thought one of the beers in the flight tasted unusual, our server got a shot glass sample for us just to double check the beer was correct (it was).
Nice experiences here and I would recommend for locals or visitors to the area.

A great edition to this area, which is "beer challenged " when it comes to craft beer. Staff is very friendly, service is great, but only semi-knowledgable about the beer selections. This establishment has only been open for a short time so I am sure their beer knowledge will improve with time.
BTW...Burgers are awesome!
Please support Funck's as they are doing a great job in trying to bring craft beer to this area. They need all "real beer lovers " to support their efforts.
