Notes & Commercial Description:
Beer added by: blackie on 03-17-2014

Dark, lovely, luscious. The deep, dark brown color hints at the flavors within. With an aroma reminiscent of chocolate and freshly baked cookies, this beer is smooth, silky, creamy, full-bodied, roasty, toasty, and slightly nutty. This is one beautifully balanced, rich, and exquisite stout.

On tap at the brewery.
Black body with a weak head.
Aroma: sweet; just dark roasted malts.
Flavor. More bitter than sweet, with a fair amount of burnt grain.
Feel: Medium-full body
O: too much burnt grain.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a brown to black coloring, with ruby highlights, and a tan, low profile head. Nose of chocolate, molasses, and baked sugar sweetness. Flavors are chocolate and berry sweet forward, on a slightly watered down body. Subtle coffee bitterness throughout. The body is light, which is really the only hang up on this beer. The aftertaste is bitter roasted coffee and chocolate, on a slick, smooth finish.

Poured from a growler into a curved pint glass.

A- Black with ruby/brown highlights. One finger tan head that moves to a 1/8 inch lace. Good retention.

S - Oatmeal flakes, chocolate, coffee, mild smoke, roasted grains.

T - Follows the nose, with some nuts and a touch of bitter hops on the finish.

M - Creamy, but there is enough carbonation to hold it together.

O - Very solid representation of the style. Looking forward to some other offerings from this new brewery.
