Motor oil thick. Really coats the glass. Wispy brown lacing on a pitch black stout. Scent is mostly roast with some spice. Flavor is bitter roast and rich. Hints of cinnamon on the front end. Some coconut oil on the finish as it warms.

Pours black with leakage to mahogany on the edges and a dense, dark tan head. Rich milk chocolate, stone fruit, and roasty malts on the nose, with the slug it of vanilla.
The vanilla is more prominent on the taste, and the roasty malts come forward, too, but there’s still room for the milk chocolate flavors, and the stone fruit is also present, though WAAAAAY in the background.
I held onto this bottle for nearly two years, and was curious to see how it held up. Exceptionally well, and thank you very much, Transient.

Included as part of @FlintB's endless generosity during NBS BIF#007.
2017 edition. Poured into a Speciation snifter.
Pour is just shy of black, like black coffee. A little thin appearing with a small ring of smoky brown curls gathered around edges. Barely a film over the top.
Nose is sweet vanilla and treacle up front. Maybe a touch of coffee char.
Flavour is an ever shifting phantasm of vanilla and molasses from the nose with a lightly smoky char, a touch of cocoa and a coffee bitterness that really plays together incredibly well.
Medium thin body with small prickly carbonation, the finish is sticky and a blend of coffee molasses and dark chocolate. Almost kind of reminds me of those Riesen candies.
This is a very tasty brew, and I am once again grateful to Brian for having sent it along for me to try. Thanks, man!

Loved the barrel aged version, the wife especially, so thought we would try this one out. What is interesting to me is how dry the finish on this is. As if the cinnamon is sticking to the roof of your mouth. Vanilla still the main star however. Looks amazing, smells great, tastes good, feel was ok.
