500ml bottle, labeled as batch #2, poured into a Prairie Artisan Ales "Prairie Dog" Teku.
The beer pours a lightly hazy copper color, hues of gold with a big thick, white head, about two fingers high with good retention yielding excellent soapy lace. The aroma is pleasant, light funk, white wine acidity, oak, citrus peel, wildflower, and some sharp peppercorn. The flavors are nice, very sharp, a bit cheesy, lemon citrus, white wine acidity, oak barrel, must, soft floral character with a really biting sour fruit finish. The mouthfeel is nice, very lively and prickly, coating, lots of carbonation with a medium body and big sour bite at the finish.
Verdict: A nice "lambic" ale from Transient. Very delicate, bright and quite tasty. That being said, it's very sour and has a fairly abrasive mouthfeel that get a bit challenging at times. I really hope that this becomes the benchmark for Transient beers as it's probably the best I've tried from them.

Solid lambic. Barnyard, citrus, sour, yeasty. Pretty much what you expect from this style. It does not enchant you with it's complexity, but it is a high quality beverage.
