I have been there twice... one time they had a great list.. one time they had a average at best one.. it is 1 dollar over priced on every draft

I've been here about a half dozen times as I visit Ft Lauderdale a few times a year on business.
The beer is great for a California kid as CCB any many others don't make it out west. Sometimes they have really interesting brews but by and large it's a good spot for some east coast IPAs.
The food is ok and the crowds can be insane. I had a really hard time getting service last time I was there because of the crowds. All in all a good spot as there aren't many decent alternatives in a 10 mile radius.

Not a fan of this place in the least special taps can be found as self serve and you need to buy a key/token to pour them. I've tended bar in the past and know how to pour a beer and they pour foamy so you don't even get a full glass for the premium paid.
The crowd here is pure Fort Lauderdale pretty people with aftermarket parts (implants) and surgically enhanced smiles.
Overall if you find yourself on Las Olas and thirsty stop in otherwise avoid. Laser Wolf is probably 10 minutes away and leagues better.

American Social is located on a nice corner on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. I visted twice while I was in town for a wedding. The overall appeal of the bar is great and it really has a nice look. Spacious seating and great TV's to catch some games. U bar located in the middle with about 20-30 Taps.
The beer selection was solid with some good variation. They had a few beers from Funky Buddha which was nice to see and some other local breweries. They carried various popular beers from across the country with a few rarities mixed in. They used proper glassware but the bar tender wasn't fully knowledgeable on all the beers which is fine for me.
I had a flat bread pizza which was really good and shared some appetizers. Overall the food was good and there is something for everyone.
The service was good but not memorable. Overall the bar is good and probably one of the best beer bars on Las Olas. I would recommend checking it out, although be prepared to pay $7-10 a beer. Cheers!
