Bottled fresh at the brewery and pours a deep mahogany with minimal head and lacing in the tulip.

Aroma is muted and malty and could really stand some serious dry hopping for a Red IPA.

Huge wave of semi sweet malt followed by a piney bitterness that never fully satisfied.

Oily, medium mouthfeel,low level of carbonation.

With all the competition locally, I'm hoping Infinity can step up their game as this reminded myself and my friend of an average home brew. Sure, folks will try just about anything once, but the real test is in the repeat purchase: something I won't be doing with Infinity Red IPA. They have a nice little tasting room, pleasant help, and state of the art equipment at Infinity: they just need to learn how to use it to it's full potential.

On tap at the brewery.

A-Pours a clear, reddish copper color.

S-The Red Ale base is clear. Caramel and muddled sweetness. There is some citrus and pine but it's needs more pop.

T-Flavor is a bit hoppier than the nose. It's still, balanced at best. Needs more hops! Smoothly sweet and actually relatively tasty but nowadays, one can't afford to throw the IPA moniker onto a beer and not have it be either unique or very hoppy; that's just my opinion.

M-Medium bodied. Smooth. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation.

O-Needs to be more aggressively hopped for it to work for me.
