12 oz. bottle poured into pint glass
L: light yellow, very light hint of orange (no amber); white skin of a head ... very weak foam, doesn't last, little to no stick and no lace; almost as clear as a good lager
S: sweet ... creamed corn; sour grain; butter, butterscotch
T: sweet malt ... in fact, has the same notes as the nose without ever tasting sour, just grainy; perfectly hides the 5.4% ABV, which isn't much but in such a light-bodied beer, it could have a more forceful presence ... it doesn't; this brew tastes light and sweet all the way through
F: fantastic ... the pour leads you to believe the brew is under-carbonated, but it's got plenty of carbonation to keep it from feeling flat, and the weight is just a bit heftier than it looks
O: it's a bit too creamed corn-like for my tastes, but that fits the style (1) and this brew is tasty (2). a very drinkable, accessible beer, and probably Solid Rock's best shot at getting into a BMC-drinker's fridge.
