Powerplant was the very first beer we ever brewed in winter before we had full power supply, hence the name. It is a Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavor. The result is a hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable beer.

Murky amber color with huge off-white head. Aroma is somehow fresh but also estery and sweet. Taste is definitely on the sweet side with yeasty esters and fermented fruits. Really effervescent with medium body. Overall it's not what I was expecting from a saison. Seems like it's not completely fermented.

Nose Belgian yeast, light spices, citrus, malt, caramel. Taste sweet spices, grass, yeast, faint floral & ABV, light carbo, medium body, slight bitter finish.

A: The beer is very hazy yellowish amber in color. It poured with a three finger high fluffy white head that has excellent retention properties and consistently left a finger high head covering the surface along with a thick webbing of lacing coating around the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of caramel malts and fruity yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has some hints of spices towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With all of the fruity aromas and flavors, this beer seems to drink more like an English Pale Ale compared to a Belgian Saison.
