On tap at JT Schmid's. This place brews. Whoah.
A: Looks like a mixture of 50/50 apple juice to water. Fast fading white head and a little lacing.
S: Mineral, apple, light metallic notes, and sweet grains. A little biscuit.
T: Corn and grass with sweet grains and a very low level of bitterness.
M: Light body with upper medium carbonation.
Overall: A no frills light Ale. I'm not really sure what that is, I guess a more insipid version of a blond. Not terrible but not at all good.

On-tap at JT Schmid's in Tustin
A: The pour is a pale golden straw with a short lived white head.
S: Not surprisingly, there is a lot of corn. In fact, the aroma is mostly corn. There is a little bit of apple juice sweetness, and maybe some grassy hops. Overall, though, not very much going on.
T: Like with the aroma, there's a very light flavor. Also like the aroma, the flavor is mostly corn. There's some water and apple juice, and maybe even a light tartness. Very mild malt and a hint of yeast.
M: Light and watery with a medium carbonation.
O: Pretty unimpressive, but that's what I was expecting.

On tap at the JT Schmid's Brew Pub located in Anaheim, CA.
Poured a medium yellow color wtih a small sized white head. Aromas of grains, 'husky', and I was getting some floralness. Tastes of the same graininess and just all around sweetness. Thin and watery body with watery tastes.

A really, really bad example of the style. I never would have guessed this was a blonde ale.
Pours a watery yellow with little to no head. Smells like ... not much, actually. Maybe a whiff of malt. Taste is basically a flat, semi-skunked malt component and a dash of earthiness.
Nearly tasteless, and completely forgettable.

Consumed at brewery, 02/29/08.
Clear golden color with a few lazy bubbles rising to make a thin skin of white foam. Very light, sweet aroma.
Has a slight flavor: sweet malt at first, then a somewhat spicy hop component before a corn note finish.
Not terribly impressive, but as an alternative to macros, acceptable.

Gold color with mild effervescence and a thin head as white as hospital sheets. Very mild hops aroma. Light and crisp flavor was just this side of boring. Mildly dry finish. Okay for a light. This beer almost seemed to be trying for a "Light Blonde" style.
