This pours a cloudy, reddish-orange color with a frothy, off-white head served with a lemon wedge. The scent is slightly fruity. Upon tasting, the sweetness is much weaker than expected. There is a lot of citrus and wheat in the flavor. The texture is smooth and the overall flavor is sweet but yet it could still use some work.

An impressive weiss beer. It has a lot of hefe-weizen characteristics(a big strong clove aroma along with some mild banana and vanilla) blended with a fresh and natural blackberry aroma...the hefe weizen characteristics dominate but the blackberry adds an interesting twist.

The taste is similar...bigger on the hefe weizen notes with a touch of fresh blackberry. The berries add some tartness and blend perfectly with the sweeter vanilla/banana notes.

Looks like a fruit beer....a few shades lighter than burgundy but in that area.

I had no intention of buying this growler but when I sampled this I was impressed with the hefe-weizen characteristics it exhibited...it seemed to be more than your basic fruit infused wheat beer and it is.

I'd love to see this aged in some oak barrels...low abv and subdued berry flavor makes this highly drinkable. This is a winner.
