Big space, sitting all by itself. follow your GPS, you aren't lost, it is in the middle of nowhere.
I strolled in around 840ish and they were already on the limited 'late night' menu. I was able to find a turkey sandwich which looked inviting.
For the beer selection, I was looking forward to the Hop Harvest - lucky me, they had just ran out. So it was the Golden Promise Ale, it was OK, but didn't quench my hop thirst. For number two I gave up on hops and went the Pewaukee Porter route. Hmm, it was pretty darn "hoppy"!
Not a bad spot, bring a hundred people, they'll have the room. You can probably park at least 20 Greyhound buses in their parking lot and still have plenty of parking. The regular menu looked to have some decent food, like the sausage platter, ect..
Next time I will come earlier and make it a dinner time stop.

Stopped here on a weekend last month. Beers were mostly ok, but the IPA I thought was spectacular. It had sort of a mall vibe to it, but maybe that was because there was a wedding party there that day. Wasn't impressed with service, as staff didn't seem knowledgable about beer or didn't care. Probably will go to other places if I'm in the area unless I want their really good IPA again. I didn't try their food at all and am even unsure if they have any, as I was there in early to mid afternoon.

Stopped back in recently on a return leg of vacation. The DB is always on the A list of possible lunch stops.
The overall atmosphere of the Brewhaus is unique and familiar at the same time. Very welcoming bar and always fun to see the brewery at center stage.
I sampled the Porter with a follow-up Oatmeal Stout. I also had a taster sample of the seasonal Maibock that tasted terrific, but opted out of high octane so early in the day.
The Porter was rich and smooth with good coffee and chocolate notes. The Stout was more dry than you'd expect in an Oatmeal variety, but the nitro pour was well balanced and not overdone. Both highly drinkable brews.
Our bartender/waitress was always around when we needed her and quick with the sample pours.
Quality of both food and beer is very good and probably a notch above what you might expect from a rural brewpub.
My wife had the grilled portabella sandwich and I had the daily special steak & asiago quesadillas. Both entrees were delicious and plated more than enough for one person.
Pricing was very reasonable.

So my wife and I were traveling from Mineapolis to Milwaukee and didn't have a hotel planned... We were just flying by the seat of our pants (that's a fun way to do roadtrips!). So we start looking for hotels in Milwaukee and discover that in-town hotels are subject to a 16.1% tax rate... This leads us to look into hotels in the neighboring towns...
We ended up in Delafield-- 20 minutes west of Milwaukee. Perfect.
We check the hotel's little book of local places and restaurants and see the Brewhaus listed... I read the reviews on here, but still we decide to give it a chance-- the other options in town were slim pickings!
So... If you exit off the highway, you need to go to the 2nd street south and then turn east. You'll go past the movie theatre and La Quinta Inn and continue another mile-- the road turns into a frontage road. Just when you start to get the feeling that you must have missed it, there it is.
The outside looks huge. A two level giant of a building. The parking is ample, but we are surprised by the number if cars for a Wednesday night. In a very smart business decision, the place has an upstairs area that they use for banquets-- which accounted for many of the cars outside.
The interior is modern-- early 2000's. A nice large island bar is surrounded by tables. The tables also surround the brewing equipment on the other side. The building is clean and updated. Lots of local Wisconsin related decorations.
The staff was friendly and willing to offer suggestions and info about the 10 tap handles. All 10 beers were their own, and I saw no indication of a bottle list offering other beers. The beers ranged from a "light lager" to a Russian Imperial Stout aged in whiskey barrels.
I had the flight-- but asked for the 6 seasonals instead if the 4 that are year-round. I tried: golden ale (on nitro-tap), IPA, Christmas ale, blueberry lager, The whiskey aged RIS, and one more that escapes me.
Surprisingly, the blueberry lager was fantastic. The IPA was maltier than I like. The nitro ruined an potentially good beer-- it should be an American Blonde Ale, not an English Pale ale (as is listed on Ba). The RIS was good too.
The flight ran $6, and an imperial pint of most offerings was around $5.
The food was tasty. The brick-oven pizza is great. My wife tried the chicken parmesan, which was also quite good. The prices were a bit high-- $16 for my wife's entree and $15 for the pizza.
The overall experience was pleasant and enjoyable. This is better than a Granite City or other chain brewpubs. If you're traveling through the area, you should stop and check this place out. It doesn't stand out as the best place I've ever been to, but it is certainly above average.
This place is better than the other reviews would lead you to believe.

Well this place is hard as hell to find off the freeway. Once you finally get inside, its pretty cool, big old school brewhaus motif. If you know how to get there ahead of time (I mean, you can see it right from the freeway, but getting to it is another story), you'll probably give it more atmosphere points.
Lots of wood all over the place, bars, its huge. Shiny stainless steel kettle in the middle of the place. Upstairs, nooks all over the place. Definitely the selection is German style, tons of lagers.
Food is very good, I've never been disappointed with anything there. You're in Wisconsin, get the bratwurst or any other selection of sausage. The beers are kinda meh for me, not a lager guy. Porter and IPA were decent. Not a place to go out of the way for if its all about the beer for you.

Very large, bland brewpub. It's about as generic as you can get but given it's location in the suburbs it's not very surprising. The place is split down the middle between the dining room and bar area by fermentation tanks. I had a beer at the bar while waiting for some friends. There are close to a dozen TVs, 8 of their own beers on tap, the typical macros available in bottles, and a full liquor bar. It's worth noting that the entire establishment is non-smoking.
The waitstaff is friendly but not necessarily very knowledgeable about the beer they serve. The beer was served in proper glassware though. The two beers I sampled were nothing fantastic but they weren't bad either.
My group all seemed to enjoy their meals. I ordered one of their wood-fire oven specialty pizzas and it was both good at the restaurant and later when I reheated the leftovers at home. The toppings were plentiful and seemed fresh, and the crust was thin and crispy just like I like it. A friend's brat was huge and looked pretty fantastic as well.
If I found myself with a couple hours to kill in the Delafield area again I would probably return but I wouldn't make any sort of special stop.

I stopped in here with some friends on the way home from the badger game.
The place is huge. It wasn't overly crowded by any means. It was halloween night so I guess that's not a suprise.
We were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us immediately. The server found his way to our table and chatted with us about his costume but no info on beer or food was offered.
We all ordered dinner and beers. All my friends know I'm a beer geek so I got a taste from everyone's beer. I thankfull got the porter which was the most flavoful of the lot. Which isn't saying much.
The beer was unimpressive yet unoffensive. Nothing worth going back for. Drinkable and plain.
The food was sub par. This was the concensus of my entire group as well.
Overall an average brew pub. I'm glad I finally got to check this place out. Unfortunately I probably won't be back.

multiply every trip i've ever taken to Milwaukee by 2. This is the number of times i have driven by this place and never stopped. Located on a hill overlooking scenic I-94, the Delafield Brewhaus towers over passerbys, but still, i had never stopped.
We decided to change this trend on a trip to Miller Park last night (GO CUBS), mainly because Roman's (not nearby, but great) was not yet open.
As we drove into the parking lot, it was noted that the structure kind of resembled a large Cracker Barrel. As we entered the fairly empty building, we noticed the tanks front and center and the aroma of cigarette smoke.
We grabbed a few seats at the bar and munched on some stale pretzels and mustard dipping sauce while watching more NFL highlights. The beer chalkboard had about 8 choices (and miller lite!). 2 things stuck out - a Hop Harvest IPA and the Batch 500 (nitro ESB). I grabbed the 500 and my compadre went with the IPA. According to legend, the hops are actually grown on the property, which i guess is cool.
The beers were actually both pretty decent but there wasnt anything overly exciting about the place and i cant say a return trip will ever occur.
In a world dominated by beer karma, its worth a stop for beerfly purposes only.

Delafield Brewhaus will work for some and will not work for others. the previous reviewer said it best, but I will reiterate.
the atmosphere is quite faux. the fermentation tanks are front and center in the space, yes, but most likely 75% of the patrons do not know what they are used for. otherwise it looks like any(wisconsin-esque dinner joint), USA. the one positive is the smoking section is sequestered on the upper level, so the first level is pretty much smoke-free.
quality and service are standard. nothing special, but no huge complaints.
selection is mediocre, with eight to ten offerings, some that ran out shortly before this BA visited. all standard types, with the Barleywine being the only semi-wildcard offering.
food was nothing special. the Chicken Pesto Pizza seemed like a decent frozen pizza thrown in the oven (not bad, but not too great either).
overall, this is a restaraunt that happens to brew its own beer, though the crowd this place attracts probably does not care. easily passed up for better offerings in Milwaukee or Madison.
