I personally have never been a big fan of Pilsners, but this is without a doubt one of the better ones I've ever had. I had it yesterday, and it was great to sip on in the middle of a hot day. The nose has hints of caramel and there was a nice lacing around my glass. It poured a pure golden yellow color, the traditional color of a pilsner. There was a surprising lingering taste of hoppiness that lasted much longer than expected. A nice surprise.
Again, I'm not a huge pilsner fan but this was a nice treat. Highly recommended to Pilsner fans.

Poured from the bottle into a Libbey style pilsner glass.
Deep orange and brass color and fairly clear, with some small rising streams of single thin carbonation. Fluffy and thin white head but a good cap of retention and lacing on the glass with it. Quite a nice looking pilsner.
Bouquet is quite nice but emphasis is on the malt. Nice clean and sweet, with hints of bakery desserts and very faint sugar. Not much hop angle noticeable on this, but it's a very nice aroma.
Palate comes through quite lightly, slightly a bit wet for my tastes and enjoyment. Moderate carbonation, with matching dough, but finally some hop presence makes it's appearance for once. Good finishing herbality and somewhat leafy with a bit of mint to go with it. Not as crisp, but also missing just the nice hinting density that seemed to becoming on the nose.
Overall it's fine either way.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear amber color that's about a shade or two darker than the average pilsner. The head is a finger high, with an eggshell color. Retention is decent, and the head leaves behind a nice ring of lacing. Looks really nice.
S: I have to dig my nose around to find the Saaz goodness (in fairness, it isn't the freshest bottle...), but it's there in a more herbal expression. I'm also getting what seems to be a typical character in this brewery's offerings: marinara sauce. Malts also seem undefined. Don't tell me this is going to be another misfire from these guys...
T: Again, the primary flavor is marinara sauce. Touches of crackery malts along side some grassy hops can be tasted, however. I don't know if its the house character or whatever, but I don't like having my beer taste vegetal and acidic. There's an interesting mint character post-swallow, but it doesn't save it by any means.
M: The feel is very coarse and sharp going down the palate, but the dryness compensates slightly. It's also very fizzy (not unexpected for the style). Even if it doesn't taste good, it can be choked down easily.
O: C'mon guys, step it up!
