A- Straw/Pale gold, not exactly clear. White head dissipates to a smaller size and leaves a nice thin lacing.

A- Sweet malty aroma with a bit of citrusy hops.

T- Hoppy citrus taste leaving a bitter aftertaste. Seems too hoppy to be a blonde, maybe an IPA?

M- Medium light body. Goes down very smooth, almost cream like.

D- Not a bad beer. Seems a bit on the hoppy side for the style. Nice and refreshing as I washed my car.

Thanks to ericandernavy for sharing this bottle.

The beer pours a clear light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat with some lemons. I also get peanuts, which is very odd. The flavor is wheat, earthy hops and low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not bad.

(Served in a nonic)

A- This beer pours a clear straw yellow with the second pour taking a slight haze. There is a thick snow white pushes above the glass and sticks to the glass with each sip. There is a flurry of microbubbles swirling around the glass.

S- The perfumed hops are bright with a green slightly pungent quality and a soft flinty note in the finish.

T- The soft pils malt gives way to a green pungent hops flavor that is full with a nice touch of lemon that changes to more of a tartness as the beer warms. There is a flinty pine resin note in the finish that grows as the beer opens.

M- This beer has as light crisp mouthfeel with a soft full fizz that supports the hops.

22oz bottle

A- Pours a pale golden yellow color with a white head with decent lacing and retention.

S- The aroma is pale grainy malts with some citrus notes from the hops. The aroma is a little light and fainter than I would have hoped, but most beers of this style are not going to knock your socks off with the aroma.

T- The taste is some grain up front with a solid dose of hops in the finish. This is a nice light, crisp, and refreshing beer; with a nice little bite in the finish from the hops.

M- The mouthfeel is light bodied with a high amount of carbonation.

D- Overall, this is a highly quaffable and refreshing beer that would be great for the warmer summer months or just when you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy a light bodied beer with some flavor.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass. Purchased from Civera's for a mere $3.95

A - crystal clear pale yellow color with a small white head. excited carbonation calms quickly but leaves nice lacing down the side of the glass.

S - sweet earthiness with bits of grass. I want to say citrus but not sure if it is the color messing with my mind.

T - bitter, but not overwhelming. earthy, straw flavors at the front with strong bitterness at the back and aftertaste. light on the tongue with a clean finish

O - a very nice beer. for the price i could drink this all day.

Poured from a brown 22 oz. bottle. Has a light golden color with a 1/2 inch head.b Smell is big on grains, some malts. Taste is crisp, lots of grains, some hops are present, a bit of biscuty flavor. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent and easy drinking beer.

From the 22oz. bomber with a very colorful label pours a light, hazy yellow-gold ale with a bubble white head and plenty of lacing.

First sniff from the bottle was a rich maltiness with a very mild sweetness to it. From the glass was a very different story, strong bitter black tea, with some citrus and some piney hops. Fresh piney hops dominate the smell from here on out, quite bitterly.

The taste is of strong black, oversteeped tea, that turns real bitter and piney, immediately. Very bitter and hoppy overall

The mouthfeel starts out smooth, then gives a puckering, crisp, bitter bite. This brew has a medium body and a mild ABV. For the beer drinker that likes beer bitter and hoppy, this one will go down effortlessly. For the rest, it's a nice bitter expirience...cheers.

Poured into a snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a light gold color with a monstrous three finger head with billowy humps of foam throughout the surface. Retention is good as well as lacing, plus there's a decent amount of sediment suspended in the body. Nice.

S- Has a crisp, clean smell with a light hop aroma. Also notes of green apple.

T- Drinks very easily and has a mild yet noticeable hop bite. The green apple continues in the taste. Refreshing but still has a good snap in the flavor which gives it substance.

M- Quenching and light. High carbonation brings a vibrancy to the table that's quite delightful.

O- I wasn't expecting much from this one but I really enjoy its drinkability and considerable hop content. Liquid sunshine, indeed.

This is my first beer from this brewery - I have no idea how this West Coast beer came to be distributed in Kentucky, since it apparently has a pretty limited distribution at present. I almost passed on it, because the brewery's trademark label - tie-dyed with a "happy-face" sun character, made me think "gimmick beer." Gave it a try, nonetheless (very reasonably priced for a 22 oz. bomber).

While first impressions are usually right, it certainly was not the case with this fine beer. Although the beer is labeled a blonde ale - the nose was chock full of grapefruity hops. Nice body and malting, but hops take center stage with this beer - initially quite citric/grapefruit rind, but at the finish the hops mellow out and become more blunt, finishing with a broad hoppy bitterness. Very drinkable. Based on the bold hopping I would have designated this an American-style Pale Ale, bordering on an American Style IPA. I checked the brewery's website and they call it a "specialty beer" made with two row malted barley, wheat and rye and hopped with Mount Hood. Whatever the beer's heritage, it is worth seeking out.

In my opinion this was one of the best brews available on tap here, if you see my profile, I have had almost all of them. This one starts out slow, with a weak appearance, very macro like with a bit more lacing. Smell is somewhat bland, not as much hops as I would expect from the brewery name.
The taste however has a decent amount of floral hops while still maintaining that drinkable summer quality.
Mouthfeel is light in body.
Drinkability is good.

The pour is a vaguely urinary yellow with a good finger plus of white foam. The smell tends towards the citrusy, a little bit of grain, somewhat organic. However, there's a bit of acidic, dirty taste that goes along. No great, not horrible either. I found it to be way too carbonated for my liking. All in all, a very blah blonde I probably would not seek out again.

Pours a yellow brew with a HEAVY Haze in it.

Smell is lemon and a bit of wheat, smells like a wheat beer with a bigger shot of hops.

Taste is a solid shot of hops in a wheat base flavor, and that is all really accentuates the hops. All grapefruit and pine in flavor.

Mouthfeel is average.

An OK brew wouldn't go very far to get it.

Served in a Chicago Bears shaker pint glass.

The last of the three bombers available in my area from these guys. It pours a clear pale straw topped by a finger of white foam. The nose is light and vague, comprising light biscuit, light dirt, grass, and a twist of lemon. The taste seems to follow, but with the elements all quite magnified. There's a strong dirt and chlorophyll flavor, which really puts me off to begin with; but then this is followed by dry, dirty biscuits and musty lemons, which makes matters all the worse for my tongue. The body is a light medium, with a moderate carbonation and a fairly dry finish. Overall, a pretty poor brew, one I hope to never have again.

Clear gold in color, with a medium-white, pillowy head. Nice lace down the glass.

Surprise! The aroma is hoppy. I'm learning to pretty much expect that from this brewery no matter what the style. A bit of graininess in there too and, contrary to some other reviewers, no sign of skunk to be found.

Medium-light bodied, crisp and biting with a fairly dry finish, this beer is once again hop-dominated. A bit grassy, with some lemony notes and not much malt to balance. Tasty, sure; refreshing, definitely; over-hopped for the style, of course. But not a bad beer, considered on its own merits.

Pours a hazey yellow with a huge white head that leaves chunky lacing and ring lacing all the way down. The unfiltered looking haze is a detraction but everything else looks appetizing.

Whoa who threw in the dumptruck load of drying saaz hops. Wether or not they are in there it sure has the mouthfeel characteristics. This beer is unique to say the least. Has the snap of a german pilsner mixed with a floral boquet of fresh flowers and a light fruitiness, maybe tangerines. Dry finish. Fairly crisp but not entirely clean.

Notes: I've had good success with this brewer. This is not an exception. Excellent, unique take on the style and for the price this brewery needs some attention. I'll give it to them. Try the amber if you find this respectable.

At homebrew club for fruit and blonde (creams & commons) styles meeting.

A - Pee yellow, light head, which sticks around.

S - Smells more like a pilsener, with a slight earthiness.

T - Earthy hops and slight malts. Still get that grainy pilsener taste.

M - Very bitter. No balance to this beer.

D - Wouldn't recommend.

Pleasantly suprised by this beer. 22oz bomber that i bought for my wife who normally doesn't like a hoopy beer but this one hit the spot. Straw color pour with two inch head that explodes with citrus hop aroma. I was not expecting that from a blonde even though it its from Hoppy Brewing Co. Will definitley keep this beer on hand all summer long. Great session beer for hopheads and anyone transitioning from mass produced lagers to craft beers.
