12oz bottle pulled from the fridge poured into an imperial pint glass. enjoy by oct 10 2010 on bottle, so a month over freshness, but i dont think itll matter much.
pours out a pale straw yellow with a fizzy white head that faded to nothing almost instantly. just a slight touch of sediment visible if you look hard.
not huge in the aroma. mostly grain husks and lager funk.
much better taste than the aroma would suggest. a nice balance of grains and lemon citrus hops. lager yeast throughout. simple, but well crafted.
very light in body, good carb for the style, most are overdone.
excellent drinkability. id love to session this beer but its hard to find in sixers, picked this up as a single. worth a try if you can find it, but i wouldnt really go out of my way to drink it again.

Two brown twelve ounce bottles emptied into a clear glass liter mug show a brew with a dull golden amber color. There's not much head despite a decanting of near room temperature beer. It's moderately translucent, but there is a mild cloudiness. Malty up front for the nose, there's also some yeastiness as a secondary trait. The aroma pretty much follows through to the taste. It's malty more in an earthy way than in a sweet way, such as a Scottish Ale. There's also a little funkiness to it, like with many European lagers. The body is more than acceptable, for a lager. Fuller flavored than many in the lager family, but unfortunately it's a style that just doesn't get the highest ratings. But, for what it is, it's well done.

Look: Clear amber color with a thin white head. Minimal lacing.
Smell: A light, herbal, grassy hop aroma. Sour green apple.
Taste: Sour green apple, green grapes, and a hint of spicy herbal bitterness. Sweet, bready malt on the finish.
Feel: Light-bodied with a carbonated mouthfeel.
Overall: A mild, very drinkable beer. Flavors and aroma are balanced and subdued. A nice hint of sourness &/or carbonation to keep things interesting.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip glass.
L---Clear, pale golden color. Thin head that faded to practically nothing almost instantly. Left not much lacing. Looks like nothing more than Bud Light.
S---Hoppy. Some earthiness, like grass. A bit floral. A little bit of bready yeastiness.
T---Grass/straw is up front. A light honey spice to it. Excellent balance between hops and malts.
F---Light & quenching. Just a touch of astringency.
O---This is one to have after mowing the lawn on a hot day. Would definitely like to have another (or 2).
