Either this is new to the state of MA, or I have not been paying enough attention!
I wouldn't have bought this without the date, which for this bottle happens to say: Enjoy By Jul 15 08.
Pours a very clear very light gold with a medium-sized white head that has a little creaminess, but not much. Head settles down to a thin cap rather quickly, leaving a little lace on the glass. Bubbles are continually rising for the duration of the beer. Smells like buttered popcorn, though slightly floral and bitter. Rather thin in the mouth and leaving a clean bitterness, this one could accurately be described as "crisp." That being said, there is definitely a sweetness present in the flavor that stays around the teeth. A pleasantly herbal note is present throughout, which must be those fresh German hops that they brag about.
Nothing sticks out in the beer, which can be looked at as a good thing or a bad thing. I can't say that it is very memorable, but as a clean, crisp, balanced, and pleasant brew, this is something that I would not mind having again.
