Hand pulled and served in 10 oz chalice
Appearance – A deep golden color with a light slight off white head. The head fades with a bit of lacing on the sides of the glass and giving a thin foam film that persisted throughout the drinking experience.
Smell – Piney hops are the most prevalent, but are mixed with some more citrus and a bit of floral hop as well. A very small amount of caramel can be detected as well, but is largely overshadowed by the nice hoppy aroma.
Taste – Smooth malt of breadiness and sweeter caramel are up front, but soon become just a base for a nice potent hop flavor. Pine is up first and is the strongest of the hop flavor. A bit of citrus then comes into the profile and mixes nicely with the pine. These two flavors with the caramel malt backbone take the taste to the finish with a long lasting spicy hop flavor that lasts in the mouth for quite some time.
Mouthfeel – As with most cask beers, this one is a bit low on the carbonation level, but yet soother and creamier tasting then its bottled contour part. It’s a different feel for the beer. I am not sure if I like it more this way or the more normal bottle/tap way. The cask’s smoothness kind of soothes the hoppy burn a bit, complimenting it nicely. But with the soothing comes some extinguishing of a nice hop flavor. It’s a tough call…
Overall – A good brew to try on cask if you have a chance. Different flavor and feel profiles are definitely accentuated this way.

Poured bottle into glass. 6.7% abv.
Appearance- A brilliant and clear dark red amber with a massive foamy head on it.
Smell- Citrus; orange and grapefruit. Not much else....did I mention citrus? lol
Taste- A dual blast of malt and hops. The initial malt blast is somewhat of a toasty bread character. The hops remain through the whole flavor profile until a spicy hot finish. Notes of grapefruit along with hints of sweet caramel too. Wickedly complex.
Mouthfeel- Heavy body of which is thick and creamy.
Overall- A solid example of a great IPA. This was the first craft beer I tried years ago so maybe it has a sentimental impression on me, but nevertheless, it is damn good if you dont mind a complex bitter blast. The hops linger as much as any other IPA. A must try if you're a hophead.

tan-nish kind of head, dark caramel color and no carbonation.
hop aroma but not pungent or strong.
taste is mildly sweet with a biscuit flavor within the hop. I cannot find a date on the bottle, as someone else alluded to, but there does seem to be some hop blandness due to time on shelf going on.... a very nice brew, for sure, but not seeing the 'wow' as others have explained....
