HopDevil poured into the glass a lightly hazed dark copper color. The head was a beige froth that would not look out of place on a latte. The lacing was thick and clung to the glass.
The smell was dominated by big biscuity malts, sweet caramel, and pungent spicy hops. The taste had a slight sweetness, grapefruit citrus, spicy, a distinct nuttiness with ample hop bittering and a delightful dry finish.
A slick and oily mouthfeel sits on a medium body with moderate carbonation.
Not as hopped as the name had led me to believe, but not a bad American IPA. Certaintly drinkable compared to some west coast versions of the style.
I will happily drink the rest of the sixer and keep an eye out for this one in the future.

Poured bottle into glass. 6.7% abv.
Appearance- A brilliant and clear dark red amber with a massive foamy head on it.
Smell- Citrus; orange and grapefruit. Not much else....did I mention citrus? lol
Taste- A dual blast of malt and hops. The initial malt blast is somewhat of a toasty bread character. The hops remain through the whole flavor profile until a spicy hot finish. Notes of grapefruit along with hints of sweet caramel too. Wickedly complex.
Mouthfeel- Heavy body of which is thick and creamy.
Overall- A solid example of a great IPA. This was the first craft beer I tried years ago so maybe it has a sentimental impression on me, but nevertheless, it is damn good if you dont mind a complex bitter blast. The hops linger as much as any other IPA. A must try if you're a hophead.
