12 oz bottle poured into a standard pint glass.
The appearance is relatively standard to that of an IPA the body may be a shade darker than I am used to though, a dark ruby-colored amber. The head is off-white, meager from the pour and short lived. Spider-web thin veins of lace manage to cling to the glass.
The malt is a bit more heavy-handed on the nose than I would expect. There are nice hop aromas but they are a bit subdued when compared to some other beers of the style. Green hop aromas of pine and tangerine combine with the malt creating a candy-like aroma.
Light and sweet malt up front on the palate. The bitterness is firm but not heavy-handed, the hop flavors emerge with smacks of lemon-zest, light pine-needles, and grapefruit. This beer is very tangy in the aftertaste.
A very well-balanced IPA, highly drinkable I have to admit Id like a bit more aromatics and hop bite though.
