A- 4 Transparent burnt orange color, with a bubbly 1 finger eggshell head on the pour. That settles to 1/4" throughout. The lacing is nice and fairly sticky.
S- 4 This smells nice but I wish it were a little more pungent. That said, I get hops and pine at first and then a bit of a sweetness almost like butterscotch from the malt.
T- 4 Hop Devil tastes of hops up front and they have a spiciness to them which is nice and somewhat unique from what I've experienced. There's a malt backbone that balances the hops pretty well, but the aftertaste is still fairly bitter. *Note- the bitterness does mild as the brew warms.
M- 4.5 This is medium in body with a nice carbonation. It is crisp and smooth, but leaves me a little dry.
D- 4 Overall a good, solid IPA, Hop Devil is certainly drinkable. It is a tad more bitter and dry on the finish than I'd ultimately prefer, and thus I could see myself enjoying 2-3 of them in a sitting. Definitely a brew worth trying for IPA fans.

Poured bottle into glass. 6.7% abv.
Appearance- A brilliant and clear dark red amber with a massive foamy head on it.
Smell- Citrus; orange and grapefruit. Not much else....did I mention citrus? lol
Taste- A dual blast of malt and hops. The initial malt blast is somewhat of a toasty bread character. The hops remain through the whole flavor profile until a spicy hot finish. Notes of grapefruit along with hints of sweet caramel too. Wickedly complex.
Mouthfeel- Heavy body of which is thick and creamy.
Overall- A solid example of a great IPA. This was the first craft beer I tried years ago so maybe it has a sentimental impression on me, but nevertheless, it is damn good if you dont mind a complex bitter blast. The hops linger as much as any other IPA. A must try if you're a hophead.
