A - Poured a deep, dark amber with hints of brown. Generous head filled my Sam Adams pint glass to the very top and it retained well throughout, leaving thick lacing down the glass. Really nice presentation.

S - Followed the color of the beer. It was a darker, earthier smell. Fairly faint.

T - Follows the nose. I didn't detect much of the citrus that others seem to see. Mostly I just got the earthiness and a really well-done bittering sensation.

M - Nice medium-bodied. It hangs on to the tongue long enough to let the bitterness sink in, but not enough to make it an unwelcome guest. Relatively clean finish.

O - Good enough IPA, but I confess that my personal tastes lead me towards the lighter, more citrusy flavored ones. Still, nice East Coast IPA.

The bottle has a Best By 12/10/13.

The beer comes in a deep red ruby color with a bit of brown in there. It has a frothy creamy white head.

It doesn’t have much of an aroma. Fresh hops and a malty sweetness.

The flavor has a pop of grapefruit and bitter tea. Then the malt is a bit grainy actually, but also with some caramel sweetness. The finish is an earthy piney finish. It almost has that resiny dank bitterness like marijuana. It’s pretty dry and bitter on the end.

This is a very well done IPA. It actually reminds me a slightly smaller Arrogant Bastard.

A - poured a copper red, decent lacing; a tad cloudy
S - faint hoppy aroma
T - definitely a nice earthy hop profile upfront, but a lagery zest towards the back that has got a little sweetness
M - smooth upfront, tends to coat the back
O - a unique and flavorful ipa. the hops are dissimilar than many of the IPA's ive had recently but in a nice earthy way. the bittering hops are done phenomenally well and perhaps standout to me a bit more than the aroma or flavoring hops.

Bottle Poured in Tulip Shaped Glass

Appearance: dark, reddish amber, with a thick white head.

Smell: Piney, citrusy, hops is the dominant aroma with a hint of grapefruits and tropical fruits.

Taste: Piney, Citrusy, and hoppy on the forefront, sweet grapefruit towards the middle and earthy hoppy towards the end.

Mouthfeel: medium boddied with moderate carbonation and a piney bittery dry finish.

Overall: This is a great beer! There is more hops in this than what more than what I expected. This is probably one of my favorite IPA's. I would definitely buy this again!

Pours an amber color with medium off white slowly fading head, some lacing. Aroma and Taste is of floral citrus hops, caramel malt, some yeast and fruity esters. Palate is a medium body with mild carbonation. Finishes with caramel malt, yeast and fruity notes, along with some moderate hops bitterness for balance. Overall a good drinking session brew.

Pours a light amber with a finger of whiteish head, very slight haze.

Smell is pine, citrus, caramel malt, grapefruit

Taste is great, really good balance to this one. Citrus, pine, grapefruit all come through huge but then it is cut back by a caramel cracker malt back bone. WOW is all I can say. I always have Hop Wallop in the fridge. Do not know why I do not pick this one up more often. That is going to change that is for sure!

Mouthfeel is standard medium with average carbonation as with most ipas. Finishes nice and dry with a biscuity piney bitterness.

Will for sure be grabbing this a lot more in the future! Really nice stuff, really good balance. I like this kind of IPA!
