Enjoy By: Nov 23 2011. Just in the nick of time.

A: Pours a very nice, dark honey color with two fingers of frothy white head...beer is mostly clear. The head has some really nice staying power and leaves behind loads of sticky lacing. The film is thick with lots of large bubbles around the edges.

S: Hoppy, but balanced. Sharp, clean citrus and some pine. Malts are bready and caramel.

T: Again, the taste is hop forward, but remains balanced. Citrus(lemon and orange), pine and earthy(almost musty) hops are present. Bread and caramel backbone give way to a slightly bitter finish. There's also a spicy quality to the taste, but not sure what to attribute it to. Very nice tasting beer.

M: On the full side of medium bodied, creamy.

O: HopDevil is a very enjoyable beer and continues Victory's string of solid offerings. I'll be sure to reach for this again.

A- Beautiful rich copper color with an off-white 1 finger head with impressive retention and good lacing. Really beautiful IPA.

S- Great nose. Absolutely awesome. Personally, I think too many IPAs have aromas that are too hop-forward. I know that is kinda the idea with an American IPA, but I appreciate balance, even in a style that is defined by it's use of hops. There is an awesome rich malt complexity up front. Sweet caramel notes and some bread characteristics blend into the aromas contributed by the hops. Very earthy with a little citrus and some clean pine. Trying to pick up the hops they used, I would guess

T-Again, amazingly balanced. The hops are more prevalent in the flavor than in the aroma, but that is to be expected. Up front, there is some subtle sweetness from the malt that is quickly replaced by a strong hops flavor. It is smooth and earthy, with a good amount of bitterness, but not just bitter for the sake of being bitter. This is a really complex and interesting taste. The sweetness of the malt, the flavor and bitterness from the hops all blend together well to make a well balanced, wonderful beer. The complexity and sophistication reminds me of something like DFH 90 minute. Really good beer.

M- Smooth and well carbonated. Just the right mouthfeel for this style.

D- Maybe the only "weak" point. The bitterness and richness of the flavor make this not the most drinkable beer, but still not too bad.

O- Really, really good American IPA. Everything is there, and everything is balanced. This may be one of my favorite beers that I have every had. Awesome beer. But you probably already know that.

12oz into Stone Pint glass

A-not so clear copper color with a finger of good head with some lacing action.

S-Typical IPA smell. Citrus with pine.

T/M-mmmhmmmhmm. Hoppy deliciousness. plenty of bitter to go around. Malty finish with the "hop Devil" taking a stroll upon your taste buds.

O-Great representation of the American pale ale and India pale ale style. does not disappoint
