Pours a very nice looking brown colored color with a very unfiltered hazy look to it. There is a nice and thick tannish head with unbelievable retention.
Smell has a very rich and strong candied malts smell. There are some fruity and spicy aromas too.
Taste has a lot of good complexity to it. The malt taste hits first, with a candied malt taste. The taste is immediately taken over by a very nice fruity taste with a bit of a spice.
Mouthfeel is too thin for my liking. There is also a bit of a sharp sting to the feel.
Drinkability on this beer is good. There are a lot of nice tastes to it that are all interesting. Every sip brings a bit different taste to it, so it is hard not to take the next sip...

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
Pours a golden amber color with significant active visible carbonation. Long retaining 1 inch head, some good lacing.
Smells like yeast esters, bananas and caramel.
Similar flavor. Nice maltiness to this one to make it a weizenbock- caramel, toffee, and yeasty breadiness, along with typical weizen qualities of banana and clove. Very well integrated beer. Alcohol is slightly present.
Medium-bodied, crisp mouthfeel, very warming. Dry finish.
Don't see too many American made versions of this style, loved getting a chance to try this one.
