12 oz bottle served lightly chilled in a Maudite goblet.
Appearance: Cloudy reddish orange topped by an ivory colored head composed of tiny wee bubbles. A small film of foam remains after a few minutes. Lacing attempted to form, but never quite succeeded.
Smell: Caramelized malts and clovey banana goodness. Intense and lovely. Lemony at times.
Taste: Sweet pruny malts with strong clove flavors. Hints of bananas and balck peppers on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Soft and supple medium body with phenolic aftertastes.
Drinkability: Damn if this isn't nice. Victory shoots and scores. Well worth getting and savoring. I could see this going well with hearty soups, breads, and cheeses.
