Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a weizen glass. 04/23/09.
Pours a cloudy brownish amber color with tons of little floaties. A four finger beige head slowly settled to a thin layer. Aroma is a mix of ripe banana, wheat, orange peel, bubble gum, caramel, and toasted malt. Smells great!
Taste is rich and malty sweet up front with lots of breadiness, toasted malt, and caramel. Lots of raisin and fig. Good wheat and banana flavor, and some clove as well. A touch of alcohol in the finish. Feel is very smooth and medium-full bodied. Plenty of carbonation. Some alcohol warming in the finish. Drinkability is pretty good. It's a bit heavy, but goes down smoothly.
Overall, a very good representation of the style. I'd get this again.

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
Pours a golden amber color with significant active visible carbonation. Long retaining 1 inch head, some good lacing.
Smells like yeast esters, bananas and caramel.
Similar flavor. Nice maltiness to this one to make it a weizenbock- caramel, toffee, and yeasty breadiness, along with typical weizen qualities of banana and clove. Very well integrated beer. Alcohol is slightly present.
Medium-bodied, crisp mouthfeel, very warming. Dry finish.
Don't see too many American made versions of this style, loved getting a chance to try this one.
