pours a beautiful golden buttercup hue, crystal clear with tons of effervesence. a billowy two-finger cap fades to a thin lacy cap leaving tons of lace.
aroma is pleasantly potent. pepper, cardamom, honey, grassy, and piney hops and some good lemon zest.
taste is really clean and hoppy with some straightforward pine and lemon. clean. crisp. solid. just enough pils malt to balance it out.
mouth is clean and crisp. a touch slick and full bodied for a pils, but pretty damn good. lingering bitterness helps to clean the slickness.
delicious, pilsy. if the body was a bit less chewy for the style, it would probably be a home run for me. but every time I grab a bottle, I'm always hoping for a bit less. not that it's bad. in fact, it's still one of the best german style pilsners around.

On draft at Buen Apetito Mexican Restaurant in Waterville, Maine. Served in a 16-ounce shaker glass.
Appearance - bubbly, clear, and yellow;
Smell - Slight floral hop aroma that grew as the lager warmed;
Taste - Dry and refreshing with a floral hop taste in the finish;
Mouthfeel - thoroughly carbonated and not watery;
Overall - One of the best lagers that I've had. This is what green bottled Euro beers should probably taste like if they weren't always skunked.
Serving type: on-tap
