A - Clear golden straw color with a white head that dissipates almost immediately and leaves relatively little lacing.

S - The lager yeast is at the forefront with a breadiness but a sweetness lies underneath. Apple juice and a hint of banana.

T - A surprising burst of flavor for such a mild appearing beer. Apples, white grape, and a slightly sour finish that lasts.

M - Surprisingly full-bodied with a creamy feel helped along by a nice carbonation.

D - It's probably a personal thing but the sweetness is a bit much for me to have more than one.

Nice beer.

This is a realy old bottle and already has tons of floaties. It tastes fine however, so I decided to have it and review it. It was Enjoy By April 2011. This beer is probably 3 years old then.

The aroma has lots of bready malt.

The flavor definitely tastes like a maibock. Lots of breadiness and caramel sweetness, some spiciness and herbal hops. There’s also some fruity esters in there too. The middle hits you with a bit of alcohol, but it’s not very offensive.

The finish is pretty dry, despite the sweet flavor.

Actually a very well done beer. Quite tasty and even better than certainly doppelbock options out there.
