12 oz bottle, dated 11/11/04. Fresh as a Bud. Duvel tulip. Extremely dark brown with a nice lasting brownish head. Aroma is big on fresh hops. The underlying bittersweet chocolate maltiness blends nicely in a wonderful medly. This tastes almost like a big old black IIPA. Lots of flavor and bittering hops dominate and linger. Underneath is a smooth chocolate pudding like malt. I almost picture Hop Wallop underneath everything going on here. This may not be a good multi-brew night beer, but a good satisfying one tonite brew, for you can sit and enjoy the hops for quite a while after drinking, for they sure do linger!
