eyes...
pale straw with good cloudiness, head whirls away and dissipates quicker than fans @ a cincinnati bengals game, decent carbonation, nothing particularly special... but about right for the style

nose...
I would call it "baby belgian"... kind of like 1/20 of what somthing like Abt12 smells like but along those lines, a little citrus on the back end as well ("baby geuze"?).. anyhoo, not bad, not stellar

taste/mouth...
from the appearance you might expect it to taste like water... but surprisingly it has a nice mouthfell (just watery enough imo). the carbonation balances well here for me, just enough to make it finish dry especially with the mild citrus notes. the yeast is apparent in the back of the throat after a few sips. some metallic taste underlying the citrus, but not bad

verdict:
good, refreshing but beyond one the yeasty taste in my throat might be bothersome. probably not worth going out of the way for but a good beer.

Part of the Victory summer mix pack.

Pours a murky golden yellow, with a small half inch head, and not a whole lot of lacing.

Smells like wheat, grainy malt, spices and Belgian yeast.

The taste is very similar, with strong, but not overly bitter, wheat flavor, the typical witbier spices- coriander, mainly, with orange and citrus flavors, with moderate Belgian yeast flavors- I like that it's not as strong as some other versions of the style.

Light bodied, almost airy, with a crisp, strongly carbonated mouthfeel. Very drinkable.

Witbiers will never be my favorite style, but this is a pretty solid version of one. Nothing crazy or outstanding, but just eminently drinkable and tasty.

Enjoy By: 09 MAY 2015

A: Pours a very lightly cloudy yellow color with almost no head that dies down to nearly nothing

S: Some nice banana and clove notes up front with a definite Belgian yeast influence. Some fruitiness under that, as well as the wheat malts with a bit of bubblegum sweetness

T: Starts off with the banana and clove, Belgian yeast, and fruitiness. The wheat comes through mid-way, along with the bubblegum sweetness. Finishes with lingering bubblegum notes and spices

M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A nice American witbier that is very drinkable and great in the summer. Great part of the new summer mixed 12-pack. This and Summer Love alone make the pack worth picking up

12 oz into a pint glass.

A: Pours a clearish straw color, a bit too clear for my witbier preferences, actually. The head is a finger high, with a white shade. Retention isn't very good, but some webs of lacing are left on the glass.

S: There's a good amount of spicing here - lots of coriander, but not quite enough for it come off like a can of Underwood deviled ham. I'm also picking up some notes of orange peel and wheat. Basically, a typical witbier. Luckily all three elements come together fairly well.

T: Spices (read: coriander) hits the palate first. This quickly fades away, revealing some orange peel, cream, lemon, and wheat on the back end. It's simple, sure, but it's a freakin' witbier. It doesn't need six billion notes running around every which way.

M: It does the one thing a witbier should do more than anything: go down effortlessly. This manages to be soft (if a bit too astringent finishing) and dry all at the same time. Carbonation is on the lower side, as well.

O: Nothing here sets the world on fire - it's just a solid witbier that's so easy to kill. Actually, it's a bit more effortless than a lot of other wits. I could easily down two or three bottles of this on a hot day.
