A- Very pale yellow in color with some sediment. Must be unfiltered. White one finger head leaves a soapy halo.

S- Sweet citrus hop aromas. Tangerine, juicy fruit, lime, lemon, fruit punch, pineapple. Light and crisp. Delicious.

T- Spicy earthy hops take over the citrus from the nose at first. Then the middle is more like it. Citrus by way of tangerines, oranges and a hint of grapefruit.

M- Medium bodied with a nice carbonation kick. Waxy at the end.

O- One helluva fine example of an imperial IPA! Excellent aroma and flavor from the hops put this brew in my " favorite class" for sure. Exceptional IPA.

An outstanding beer that eclipses Dirtwolf in terms of accessibility. Perhaps less bold in flavor than its imperial IPA counterpart, but Hop Ranch delicately balances notes of white citrus, grapefruit and grape and touts a very easy-drinking palate at 9%. The smell and taste almost reminds me of an imperial version of Schafly's excellent Tasmanian IPA. It has a similar slight sort of funk, but one that is wholly enjoyable and a wonderful contribution to the clean citrus prominence.

A: Pours a translucent apricot orange colored body. Produces a big, fluffy, bright white, dense head. The lacing is nice, leaving almost a full, sticky, covering of the glass as it slowly slides away.

S: The smell is all juicy, exotic fruits and strong hops. Mango, Pineapple, Apricots, Oranges, Grapefruit. The smell is incredible.

T: Follows the nose. Loads of exotic fruits - mangos and papayas. Finishes with an orange-juice like sweetness, with just a small, quick, bittering bite at the finish. Not overly complex without seemingly even a hint of malt presence, but the hop dominance is awesome.

M: Medium-Full body. Prickly. Heavy carbonation. Crisp. Clean. Dangerously deceptive. The booze is incredibly hidden.

O: I had high expectations after trying dirt wolf, but I think this one is even better. This is a hop head's delight. Pretty much one dimensional with the hops stealing the show, but wow it's a great showing. Hopefully I can find more, because I'd love to house a case of this stuff.

Surpisingly golden straw-yellow color, with fluffy white head.

Very powerful aromas of pineapple, citrus and hop goodness. Wow! This is literally heaven to the nose.

Delicious hoppy flavors, with nice strong citrus edge, really awesome. Loads of the citrus hop bite that I look for in a good Imperial IPA. Nice light body. Really tasty and smooth.

Wonderful stuff.

appearance; straw, quite clear, lots of evident carbonation, pours a thick, creamy white head that retains very well.

smell; citrus, resin, hint of malt

tatse; lemon zest, grapefruit, slight hoppy bitterness, slight malty sweetness

mouthfeel; light/ medium body, crisp, slightly dry in the finish, medium carbonation.

overall; a very tasty, crisp, very drinkable IPA, would definitely buy again.
