This was a good beer but then again it wasn't.
It was good that it had a nice hoppy aroma and the taste was pretty hoppy.
It wasn't good because it was way too lean in the flavor.
The color was very light gold, think pils. A small head formed and was soapy looking.
The aroma was hoppy and smelled good.
The taste, lean but tasty.
I liked this beer. There's nothing wrong with it. It's just too lean.

Clear and shiny like freshly polished brass. Has an off-white froth. Smells of subtle light fruits and distant hops. Fruit and malt forward with a quick hop strike at the back. Lighter body. Obviously made for drinking, and there's nothing wrong with that.

On tap at the Pig & Fiddle. Pours hazy straw gold with a light quickly dissipating white foam cap. Very fruity nose with tropical fruit and melon. Light, highly carbonated and packed with fruit and very light grain character. Mild bitterness. Very refreshing.

DATE TASTED: May 23, 2015... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint... OCCASION: Easing into the night after Shan, Mary, Ricah and the boys it the WineFest... APPEARANCE: First, the head: like overyeasted dough, the head rises like sea foam above the lip by a good inch! ( a prior bottle poured itself out the glass!); the ebbing tide leaves thick, clinging clumps of snow-white moss; the body is pale golden yellow with hefty floating sediment that settles at the glass's bottom... AROMA: definite flowery hops and biscuit malts moderate each other; some lemon zest and citrus, but not as big as an IPA would normally be... PALATE: fizzy, lively, and thin early with a dry, reasonable aftertaste; medium-bodied...TASTE: light and crisp as promised; light bitterness; lemon zest dominates, but the overall flavor is not an IPA, in the American sense--more like an English IPA in its drinkability--more spritzy than strong, more crisp than crunchy... OVERALL: Drinking this as last year's Hop Ticket Session IPA, the beer is (literally) a refreshing take on the genre; indeed, sessionable and refreshing...
