I enjoyed this chilled from the bomber in a tumbler, shared with tenderbranson69

The color is deep amber with light haze and slight tan cream with fine bead, lace sticks ok lace sticks in a film. The smell is floral and sweet with semi-fruity ester with mild woody hop aroma and gentle scent of caramel from the malt. The feel is decent wtih med high carbonation and moderately bitter entry with low sweetness and gentle fruity/tangy yeast with semi-dry finish wiht low alcohol in the feel.

The taste is good I like the fruitiness of the yeast with the subtle dried fruit and mild woody english type hop flavor which could be Northern brewer with light taste of citrus and sbutle caramel in the malt character with mild herbal aspect and slight yeast flavor continuing in the middle with a more bitter and woody aspect emerging toward the second half wiht lots of hops in the finish. I like this and consider it very good a decent balance yet still leans enough toward the hops

There is no date on the bottle so the age is unknown.
The aroma still has some hops to it. I can smell candied hops and fruity hops.
Pours a burnished orange copper color. The head is smallish and dense with some spotty lacing.
Appears to some sediment suspended in the beer giving a hazy look.
The taste is tart and malty then hoppy. I can taste some caramel malts and perhaps some biscuit notes but light on the hops.
Drinks course on the palate.
Very vague in it's style.

A - Pours a very deep copper color with a thick, creamy white head, an extraordinary generous amount of tight, small bubble carbonation, and sticky lacing that leaves a dense, thick layer on top.

S - Earthy, toasted caramel malt, small amount of lemon, and piney.

T - Toasted caramel malt sweetness, bready, up front with halfway through a wave of pine and light citrus and floral bitterness comes crashing in over the top of the malt base and rides it out for a long, lingering bitter finish.

M - Thick medium body, light velvet smoothness on the tongue, very dry finish.

O - If I were blindfolded, I'd swear this is Hop Devil reincarnated. Balanced and more English than American. Looks like a devil, smells like a devil, tastes like a devil ... must be a devil? What knocked my score down is towards the end of the bomber the malt got cloying sweet as it warmed up which I didn't care for. A solid beer but perhaps better off in a 12 oz bottle where it could stay colder from start to finish? As it warmed up, it really loss the bitter bite that it had when cold. If you like Hop Devil and English style IPA's, definitely worth a try. Wouldn't buy it again, though.

22 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 8/15/2014. Pours lightly cloudy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange, lemon zest, grapefruit, caramel, toast, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/floral hops and caramel/bready malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of orange, lemon zest, grapefruit, caramel, toast, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Light floral/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of orange, lemon zest, grapefruit, caramel, toast, bread, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of citrus/floral hops and caramel/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Overall this is a very nice beer. It is listed as an IPA, but this fully fits into the ESB style for me. Very nice balance and robustness of citrus/floral hops and caramel/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Hazy orange, topped by four fingers of rocky white foam. Little drips of lace dot glass.

Big fruity aroma, heavy on the orange. Bits of bread too. Pine also.

Solid sweet malt foundation coats the tongue. Some fruit in the middle. Big bitter bite at the swallow, which ligers long.

Smooth medium to full mouthfeel.

A nice one hot from Bill and Ron's notebook.
