1/2 growler filled at DeCicco's, Brewster, NY

The pour is super light golden and super clear. Moderate off white head. Leaves some fine strands of lace behind on the glass,

The nose picks up just some faint wheat malts.

Pale and wheaty, minor hop presence. Not a lot going on here. I like my "hoppy Wheat" beers to have way more hops then this tepid offering. Decent as a traditional wheat beer, but falling way short of the advertising....

On draft at Sapsuckers, Huntington, NY.

Poured a pale brass hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and good lacing.

The smell featured grassy and herbal hops.

The taste consisted of an upfront hop spice that dominated the experiences. Sharp, herbal and grassy.

The mouthfeel was round with a lingering spice.

Overall a pretty tasty wheat ale.

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a hazy dirty yellow color with over an inch of head. Lots of lacing. Smells like a Hefeweizen. Banana, cloves, yeast, and some citrus and tropical fruit hops. The taste is some light tropical fruits upfront followed by the banana, yeast, orange peel and cloves. Funk and spices at the finish with some light orange peel. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Minimal alcohol presence. Overall, its an alright Wheat but I've had better (and hoppier) ones.

Small head but it lasts and leaves a solid ring of lace. The liquid is straw with a bit of white from the haze.

I smell aggressive dry hop, with yeast

Nice banana flavor up front. The black peppery hop kicks in quickly and dominates the rest of the taste through the swallow and aftertaste. The flavor also features some sweetness but it's mild. Good body and carbonation for the style.

Served on-tap at Al's of Hampden. Pours clear amber orange with a small half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating to a light film, leaving small streaks of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smells of grassy, piney and slightly citric hops as well as some mildly toasted caramel malt and bready wheat. Taste is pretty similar to the nose. Lots of bitter hops up front with some chewy wheat and sweet caramel malt backing it all up. Crisp, bitter feel with some chewy sweetness toward the end of each sip.

Overall a decent hybrid IPA. Good amount of hops backed up by a strong core of wheat and malt. Another nice IPA out of Victory.

Not a huge wheat beer fan but this brew is helping me change. Only available on draft at their D-tow location, if you're near by or frequent the place this beer is certainly worth a try. With a slightly hazy, straw colored body and a pronounced white head, this Hoppy Wheat Ale will leave you craving another. A balanced aroma featuring peppery wheat aspects and fruity esters, prepares you for the mild hop bitterness that stands up against the chewy grain flavor from the rich imported malts.

Pours a clear medium-light gold with a foamy white head. The head has a little retention and leaves a little lacing. The aroma is pleasant with some nice esters and hints of fruit. The taste is reminiscent of both the light bread of lager and the yeast of a wheat beer. It is an interesting mixture. The weight of the body is pretty light, matching the flavor profile. It's an interesting take on a wheat beer.

Gold color with excellent clarity. Looks more like a lager than a hoppy wheat ale. Beautiful crown of white adorns a ferverously carbonated brew. Excellent.

Cracked wheat and musty hops meet crisp citrus and red delicious apple. Leaning toward green leaf and guava with a hint of grapefruit. Smells great.

Crispy and a little tangy. Slight banana ester creeping in amongst citrusy and floral hops. More of that bite of pomme and almost farmhouse-like delicious strangeness. Finishes with a tingle of soft peppery spice.

Mushy in the mouth, but super-easy. Low maintenance beer with a good sudsy carbonation.

I love this hoppy wheat offering. A great pale with balance and drinkability. Recommended.
