A: Pale and light-bodied. A considerable white head emerged from the tap.
S: It has a mild malt aroma with a tiny hint of ethers. No hops in the nose to speak of.
T: Surprisingly, there is a bigger hop presence than I expected, consdiering I've tried the Trowback each year it's been produced. It's a very pleasant surprise. The mild hint of corn is not unpleasant. This is probably their most-balanced version to date.
M: Highly carbonated, the lager has a pleasant texture. Well, at least for how long it lasts in the mouth...
D: This beer drinks so easy and fast, I'm surprised how quickly I finished it.
A decent session brew, the '07 Throwback Lager tastes a little hoppier compared to previous incarnations. This would make a great summer brew... too bad it's brewed in the spring (and a cold spring this year, at that).

on tap at the Victory catering truck - served in plastic cup
Brilliant golden color, crystal clear in the sunlight and topped with a thin layering of white head. Fades away into a wisp of film with little lacing.
Malty and doughy in the nose with hints of lemon peel and corn. Yup, its an adjunct - but without the steely, offensive scents the more popular varieties tend to exhibit.
Easy drinking with a mild corny backbone. Doughy with honey and a little fresh cut grass. Quaffable, especially on a 80+ degree day outside.
Lighter body, decent carbonation, cool and refreshing on the tongue with minimal dryness. Apparently this was a post-prohibition inspired lager they made with corn flakes, so the results were pretty pleasing. This certainly isn't their best lager brewed beer, but I thought they achieved the goal.
