06/13 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. This time I'm getting an ashen/smokiness & less chocolate, but still nothing special.
03/13 On tap (nitro) at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Just OK. Got a tad bitter at the end. Nothing to write home about.

Served via nitro at L&M Lanes in Rochester, NY.
Pours a dark brown, almost black, classic glossy dark Irish dry stout look. Tight looking one inch head, a lot of lacing down the glass. Poured very well.
Smells lightly roasty, with some smoke and chocolate.
The taste is similar. I'll never really love the effect that nitro has on beer, but this still tastes pretty good. Very dry taste, as expected. Some cocoa powder, and light roasted malt.
Light bodied, very typical dry stout on nitro mouthfeel- creamy and smooth.
Not bad, but a tiny bit bland.
