This is my favorite stout! Local Philly brewers are making stouts a standard and i couldnt be happier. I got this fresh pint from the blue dog cafe in lansdale. Great roasty flavor, not sour or acidic, full bodied and jet black. Similar to O'hara's (non-nitro stout favorite) but with more body and a fuller consistancy. Eastern PA residents... try this stout, i promise you will love it.

Had this on draft while in the great city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Lovely city and state if I may say so, now to the beer....
Three finger white coffee colored head that left lacing all over the glass. This looks delicious.
Malty, burnt, whiff of hops. Good!
Like the smell, dark chocolately malts, burnt offerings....Smooth as can be. Like velvet.
This is BEER! It would be great to be able to drink this all day everyday. Perfect for what it is. Way to go Victory.

Outstanding in every aspect. This dry stout coming in @ 3.7%ABV is everything I could ever want for this style. Very high whole hop flavor (EKG I assume) for style, without the typical roasted malt bitterness normally present. I can't say enough about this offering from Victory. They are my darling East Coast Brewery, and they should be yours too!

My go-to session beer whenever I visit Victory - Donnybrook never disappoints. Low ABV doesn't mean no taste - it has a roasty flavor that doesn't cross over into smokiness. Decent mouthfeel and consistently good flavor. Sadly, needs nitro so I can't take home my growler filled with this.

Black as night in colour. Tan, creamy head firmly atop this brew. Unquestionable lacing along the sides of the glass. Surprisingly rich aromas of roasted malty goodness with subtle undertones of bittersweet chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Balance on the palate - the subtle hints of hops play well with the smoothness of the brew on the tongue and the roasted malt backbone. What a brew. As good as I have had from this style - EVER. Very, very well done. I never would have expected the aromas and flavors from a brew of this quaffability. An incredible brew and one I would make the drive to Victory for any day of the week.
Diatribe... In this day and age of big beers, it is refreshing, both literally and figuratively, to have such a wonderfully memorable brew like this...

Brilliant beer! Beats most of the craft stouts out there in my book!
Appearance: Jet black with a light tan head
Smell: Roasted barley, coffee, charcoal
Taste: Roast barley malt, coffee, hint of cocoa, and a mild hop bite at the end
Overall, this is a delightful beer. I would highly recommend it to any lovers of stout!

Nitro-tap at Taco Mac - Newnan, GA.
This is a session stout all the way. Nice to have such from Victory with out the usual extra hop profile. Dark, beautiful pour - settled into a classic creamy nitro head. Great aroma of roast grains, hint of coffee and cocoa. Taste of the same, slight sweetness, and all at 3.7%. Nice to have a stout with lunch and not feel wiped out afterwards. Very drinkable, wish I could find this more often.

Served on tap in a pint glass at Xfinity Center in Philly.
Almost didn't order it based on unenthusiastic reviews on BA.
Sure glad I did. I guess I'll be the outlier.
Deep brown in appearance adequate foam after repouring into pint glass from plastic cup.
Malty, sweet, incredibly smooth. So smooth it could have been on nitro but I don't know that.
An excellent representative of the Irish Dry Stout style and I'm very glad I tried it when I had the chance.

On nitro tap this beer put on a beautiful display like it's most popular Irish cousin.
A: After all the settling this beer was a jet black color letting through no light. Thick smooth light brown head with good retention and good lacing most of the way down the glass.
S: Bitter, burnt grains, light chocolate, cream, ashy smoke. Hops may add some bitterness.
T: Some bitter chocolate and burnt grains with a somewhat ashy roasted smoke flavor. A bit of sourness blends well with the semi-sweet malts.
M: Velvety smooth medium body.
D: High on taste and low on alcohol this beer gets it done better than guiness I feel. Thumbs up to Victory again for this delicious beer!
