A - A nice amber color with a cool tannish head with decent retention. Has a hazy hue
S - The smell is dominated by the Brett, giving the nose a decidedly Belgian character. The hops are there but masked.
T - The Brett certainly takes over the taste here. The regular hop devil is one of the more "hoppy" single IPAs out there, but in this version the hops are very hard to detect, aside from the bitter aftertaste. There is some decent funk here, but nothing crazy. This beer tastes a lot like a belgian tripel, but replaces the fruit and spice flavor with some mild hop bitterness. Definitely unique, but not excellent.
M - Nothing special here - mild carbonation.
D - Very easy to drink and the Brett makes this a bit of a thirst quencher. however, the flavor doesn't offer enough to make me come back for more.

Bottled in 2009 and held by brewery and re-distributed, then bought in 2014. Amber/orange.
A- Pours the biggest bubbly foam head I've ever seen right out of the bottle.
S- Yeasty and sour. hoppy too. candied oranges. Wild.
T- Similar to the smell really. Some sour notes from the yeast action. The hops has really mellowed out. I hope others review this delayed/aged re-release because I don't think I'm doing it justice with this review. But it's a pretty exciting/interesting beer.
M- Very bubbly and fizzy in the mouth.
O- I thought about getting some hop devil (which I haven't had yet, though I loved V's Hop Fresh) to taste alongside this one but this beer stands on its own as completely unique from the original Hop Devil. It is indeed wild, and I'm glad I tried it.
