CBC Braumeister Pils Select pours golden clear yellow in a pilsner glass capped off by a white, cloudy head. It starts off subtle, constrained notes of floral and grain, grassy flavors. As the Braumeister Pils hits the back of your throat, BAM! The Tettnang hops came into play and finish strong and dry.
Personally: I love this beer! I could not get enough of it when Victory brewed this last year - I really hope they brew this again, I might buy the 1000hl tank.

I'll agree with gford217 below me and say this was the version with Tettnanger. On-tap at the Brick Store.
Pours a cloudy golden-yellow color with a one-finger white head. The head sticks around for a while before settling into a thin pancake on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of bready sweet malts with good amounts of floral and grassy hops.
Tastes very good. Light and bready malt flavors up front are joined shortly by mild hop flavors that don't overpower the malts. The ending is mildly bitter and very crisp.
Mouthfeel is very good. It's a bit thicker than the normal Prima with moderate carbonation.
Drinkability is great. I polished off my glass quickly and could drink this all day.
Overall the lack of filtration added a bit of complexity to an already great beer. Be sure to try this if it pops up.

On tap at the VBC on 3/1/09. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a beautiful clear gold with a couple fingers of foamy brite-white head. This settles down into 1/2 finger or so of sturdy retention that stays rigid, leaving thick swathes of sticky lacing back. Just a classic Pils look to this! The aroma is floral and spicy with a splash of citrus that is nicely integrated into some sweet bready malts in the back.
The taste starts with a nice, moderately aggressive blast of Tettang hops that imparts a spicy and dry lingering feel. This is well propped up by citric notes and a solid backbone of bready Pils malts. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a stiffness to the carbonation and feel that nicely brings out the bitter notes and overall crisp nature of this. Nice!
I love these Braumeister Pils beers. This nicely showed off the dry and spicy nature of the Tettanger hops and the fresh crispness kicked the drinkibility of this to a new level. I could have drank this all day!

On-tap into pint glass @ Birreria Paradiso in Georgetown.
Clear golden hue with a one finger pearl white head, which provides little rings of lacing as the beer descends down the glass. Grainy malts along with some sharp and slightly citrusy hop aromas. The malts in the flavor are very biscuity, and provide a good balancing base for the slightly spicy hop flavor. A little bit of citrus in the hops. Medium bodied.
Perfect beer to enjoy after walking a ways to the bar. Very refreshing, well balanced, and a good hop profile. Recommended.

Poured from a growler into my 0.5L Stiegl Pilsner glass (Growler is from Greens in Piney Grove)
A - Clear yellow lemon colored body with a fluffy white head, This beer looks perfect for the style
S - Sweet bready pale malts with a nice mix of herbal floral hops. Once again this smells great for the style
T - Good mix of malt and hops create a crisp beer. Nice amount of of pale malts mix with a spicy hop zest. I enjoy the crisp bitter flavors at the end of my swallow.
M - light body with ample amount of carbonation. I hate to overuse the term but it is crisp and goes down easy
D - Really easy drinking, full flavored pilsner. In a beer scene dominated by big beers this is a nice change of pace. This beer goes great with this hot SC summer. If this was widely available I could see this becoming a staple in my fridge throughout the warmer months.

Pours a foggy yellow/gold. Head is white. Nose is void of anything to me. Flavor is a constant bitter. Bitter, but manageable. I guess this is what the tettanger hops are bringing. Gets smoother over time, or maybe I just get used to it? Feel is well bodied on liquid and the carbonation is low and biting. Nice. A bit edgy on the bitter, which might detract for some.

Appearance: Although on this site this beer is flagged as "retired",
the folks at Victory do make it on and off. Poured the beer from a
growler into a tall pilsner glass. Golden color with a tinge of
orange. Pour resulted in 1.5" head which took about 2 minutes to
diminish substantially but not altogether.
Aroma: Light straw aroma. Very slight aroma of orange and mild hop
Taste: Flavorful pilsner with a mild hoppy taste. Slight flavors of
orange in the background...more like the aroma of orange leads one to
believe that there is a an orange-like flavor to the beer, A perfect
beer to introduce someone who is used to drinking Budweiser to a
Pilsner that has hoppy a flavor and some complexity. Tettnanger hops
are considered a "noble" variety. This beer is a perfect example of
what flavor and style arises when something noble is added to the mix.
Mouthfeel: With exposure to air, the beer did not change much. It
held its flavors and aromas very well and steady.
Overall: A mildly hoppy flavorful Pilsner that reveals its noble hops
heritage in its taste and aroma. Some hints of orange revealed in the
color, aroma, as well as flavor. A great first beer of the day. A super beer
to introduce someone to what flavor and aroma arises out of hopping.

On tap at the Brick Store as part of the 12th Anniversary festivities. I believe this is the version with Tettnanger hops.
Pours a crystal clear golden yellow with tons of bubbles streaming to the top and feeding a fluffy white head that shows very good retention and solid lacing.
The aroma is textbook pils with a light toasted grain aroma with some sweet light malts and some floral and grassy hops. There is an underlying spice presence in the nose as well.
The taste follows the aroma very closely with a solid backbone of sweet pale malts, toasted bread and the light citrus and grassy hops that show up in the front. The finish is dry and very crisp with a hint of the hops lingering in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel is perfect for a summer day, light bodied, crisp and dry.
This is the definition of refreshing as I could drink this all day long on 95 degree summer afternooon in Atlanta...like today. Extremely drinkable and one of the better pilseners I've tasted recently.

Brewed for the Craft Brewers Conference and only available there back in April as well as at the newly reopened brewpub.
Poured a clear golden yellow color with a pinky of foamy white head. Good retention and some lacing. Smells of grass, honey, grain, lemon rind. Tastes of sweet honey and lightly toasted grain followed by some nice lemon notes, finishes crisp with grass and light pine flavors. Medium light in body with good carbonation. Sweet with a crisp bitter finish, very easy to session and refreshing.

Reviewed on 7/10/08. On tap at Blind Tiger, labeled Braumeister Tettnanger Pils. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small head. Aroma of light fruits and cocoa powder. Flavor of crisp sweetness, light flowery hops, lemon zest, sweet but not very fruity. Dry finish. When it warms, it is awesome--a superb balance of sweetness and hops. My favorite Victory brew to date.

On tap at Victory on 3/1/09.
A - Poured a crystal clear golden-colored body with large bubbles of slow-rising carbonation and one finger of rocky bright white head that retained quite well, flaring up with each swirl of the glass, and left lots of sticky lace.
S - Citrusy and earthy/herbal hops with some grassy undertones. Malt is sweet and suggests caramel and bready notes.
T - Lemon zest with a spicy herbal hop flair and some sweet malt to balance. Lots of bready and biscuity malt backbone to complement the spicy hop character. Finish is quite bitter with a grassy and citrusy hop bite.
M - Medium bodied with a slightly oily texture and dry mouthfeel. Carbonation is moderate with a bit of prickle on the tongue. Finish is crisp and quite dry with a good deal of bitterness on the palate.
D - I love the Braumeister Pils series, and this one is no exception. Another well-crafted pilsner. Keep 'em coming, Victory!
