I had this on-tap at the Victory Brewpub in Downingtown, PA.
Appearance: The body is a clear amber color with a good sized white head that has good retention and ok lacing.
Smell: The aroma is close to being roasty complemented with an earthy hop smell.
Taste: The taste is dominated by sweet malt and has no noticeable hop flavor.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is crisp.
Drinkability: The drinkability is pretty good.
Don' t drink and review.

Pours a clear burnt honey color with a two-finger sandy head into a pint glass from my first growler! Lacing throughout the drink. Aroma is sweet caramel, nuts, a a bit of dark fruit. Mouthfeel is a little slick, medium-bodied with good carbonation. Taste is nuts, bread, caramel, very little hop presence. Overall this is a rather bland brew. Much better at the Victory brewery where I had it with the nacho platter (this was pretty good). Not a good score for my first growler-fill.
Edit: the Victory beer menu listed Almost Anton's with an ABV of 6.2%. Not 5.3%.

Draught @ Victory: This one pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma is of caramel malts and a hint of floral. The taste is mainly caramel malts, with some light spiciness. Nicely balanced with hops. Very smooth. This is a very drinkable beer. This might be a new name for the Sunnybrook Auburn.

Reviewed on 7/10/08. On tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a dark, clear amber with a small head. Aroma of light fruits and butter. Flavor is all buttered toast with raspberry jam. Also some roasted/burnt malt and buttery popcorn. Very toasty. An interesting and tasty beer.

A: Orange with a white head and nice lacing and retention.
S: Sweet, caramel notes and very clean.
T: Sweet yet dry on the finish with caramel and toffee notes.
M: Full and creamy with a clean, dry finish.
D: The dryness balances the sweetness very weel. It is something that I will keep going back to for more.

On tap at Victory on 10/26/08.
A - Clear medium copper/dark amber body with ruby red highlights and one-finger off-white head that receded into a patchy film but left lots of lacing on the glass. Sparse amount of carbonation present.
S - Caramel malt with bready and grainy notes and a touch of floral hops. Hints of honey sweetness and very mild tea-like hops in the back.
T - Quite malty with plenty of sweet caramel and bread at the forefront. Hints of floral and noble hops follow, offering a very light bitterness. Finishes with some mild toasted grains and dark malts.
M - Medium body with syrupy texture and moderate carbonation resulting in a pretty crisp mouthfeel. Minimal bitter finish with plenty of sweetness on the palate.
D - Solid, quaffable lager that's a bit on the dark malty side. Lots of malt flavor ranging from sweet to dark and toasted. Nothing off the charts, but quite drinkable and flavorful.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub.
Served as a deep amber colored beer with moderate white puffy head.
Smell demonstrates some navice caramel notes, with a touch of floral hops.
Taste combines a nice caramel backbone, with a light hoppiness and a firm crisp character.
Leaves a light refreshing feeling in the mouth.
Graet drinkabilty, refreshing, paired well with my meal.

On tap at the VBC on 8/29/08.
Pours a clear copper amber with a 1/2 finger of brite-white head. A solid 1/2 finger of retention that flares up well, leaving a nice cascade of lacing down the sides of the glass. The aroma is light toasted malts, caramel sweetness, and floral notes with just a touch of citrus in the back.
The taste is sweet caramel malts well balanced by a firm hop profile that is all encapsulated in an overall toasty feel that lingers on the palette. The mouthfeel is medium modied with a nice crisp bite and firm carbonation.
Nice take on the Vienna Lager style, with good balance between the sweetness, hops, and toasted malts. Fresh and crisp, I drank this 20 oz pint in no time flat. It looks like this is going to be a new year-around on draft. I'm looking forward to many more pints of this.
