12 oz bottle with freshness date, poured into a SA Perfect Pint
A - Dark reddish-brown pour with a good finger's worth light beige head. Good retention and lace.
S - Dark, roasted malts, caramel, and a heaping dose of some earthy, spicy hops. And a hint of resin?
T&M - Sweet, caramel malt finds nice balance with a spicy hop that hits immediately. Some sweet notes toward the finish with hints of tobacco. Hop oils resonate long after swallowing, with just a hint of solvency.
O - Probably the hoppiest "Dark IPA" I've had. Lot's of interesting tastes going on between the darker malts and the hop bitterness. I'd happily revisit this one.
