A: Brown/dark mahogany with a huge blooming khaki head. Sticky lacing.
S: Toast, carmel malt and a little bit of pine hops. Subdued nose.
T: Toasty bread malt with a touch of carmel sweetness. Pine/bitter hops. The hops have a slight spice to them. A hint of unfermented sugars and alcohol near the end, it is almost 9%abv. Something about the taste isn't agreeing with my palate.
M/D: Medium body. Active, bubbly carbonation that is a little harsh on the tongue. Nothing special at all in the drinkability department. Alcohol is not hidden at all. The taste isn't bad, but its just not doing much for me. I'm good for one and ready to move on. Odd beer with an odd taste profile.
