On tap at Max's today.

The beer pours a golden amber color with good head retention and lots of sticky lacing all around. The nose is intriguing, with the beer showing celery leaf, dank earth and wet tobacco. The nose is a bit on the sweet side, but I don't pick that up at all on the palate. There is an interesting mixture of pepper, earth and light orange citrus that is pretty nice. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, with the beer showing a decent amount of flavor and some good bitterness in the dry finish. Drinkability is quite good, with the alcohol barely noticeable.

Not bad at all....

A pint on tap at the grey lodge pub.

A- comes to me filled to the brim so no room for head, burnt orange in color and beautiful clarity. After a few sips and good swirl brings a nice finger or so of bright white frothy head that leaves some lace.

S- slightly sweet toasted malts and a subdued spicy citrus hop. A bit of ginger honey glazed grilled lemon.

T- a nice back and forth between malts and hops. Toasted grainy bread and mild caramel sweetness with a slightly astringent citrus and herbal earthy hopping. Hops. Come off clove studded orange and tangerine with some vegetative touches. orange marmalade comes to mind.

M- on the light side of mouth feel and a bit higher then medium in carb almost sparkley and effrevesant.

D- very crisp and clean, super easy to quaf and would make a stellar bbq beer. I have a feeling ill be having a few of these this summer.
