I feel blonde ales are one of the most boring styles out there, but I decided to give this a shot as it's a Victory brew, and I've enjoyed all of their beers so far.

I poured into my Harpoon IPA pint glass - head disappears quickly but a mild film of lace remains. Gold in color with some mild carbonation.

Well, this doesn't taste like other blonde ales I've had. There's actually quite a bit of flavor to it. Almost like a "Prima Pils" light. Sharp hoppy scent - pure hop taste with a bitter finish.

It's rare that I buy a 6 pack of anything these days - I prefer mix a sixes, I did so with this and don't regret it. However, one thing I need to say - if you are looking for a "traditional" summer ale (light, easy drinking), look elsewhere. This one is highly bitter and doesn't really fit into the summer ale spectrum.

Bottle from Harvest Market
Pours a pretty clear deep straw color with a good sized tightly bubbled white head that recedes to form a cap on top. Aromas of bready and light caramel malts with a solid floral spicy hop to counter. The flavor is rich sweet bready malts with a bit of earthy spicy hops. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Wow I really enjoyed this beer! Extremely clean, simple, but quite flavorful at the same time.

On tap at Claddaghs

Appearance: pale golden straw color with a one finger white head

Smell: funky malt, lemon zest, grassy

Taste: funky malts upfront with a lemony hop finish

Mouthfeel: Light body with a bitter finish

Overall: Nothing to write home about. I found this to be quite funky with the hops not even able to mask it. I typically enjoy everything Victory does, but this is an exception. I'm gonna pretend I never had this offering. I'll stick to blonde women instead
