(strangely, no best by date on label - poured into an Innis & Gunn stemmed fluted goblet)
A: clear-filtered sunshine yellow liquid with an open-structured, spongy white foam that lasts for a couple minutes after the initial pour... after the foam died a bit, the remaining pour brings a hilly crest above the glass, pillowy in form
S: soapy-flowery German hops come to the fore - I wanna say similar in character to their Hop Wallop - zesty, almost saffron spiciness in there as well (the Simcoe?)... background of lemon peel, and perhaps a faint pilsner malt deep down... the Citra may only provide a delicate, spruce-y highlight
T: zippy-hoppy up front, a touch of honeyish malt, and then it just drops off dry with that perfumy, soapy-floral element wafting on the palate... with subsequent sips, the spicy, piney, soft bitterness of the hops take over... the malt stays a bit back coming across with a mild, dry shortbread flavor... sort of a lemon meringue real late in the aftertaste
M: this drinks like a mix between a German and Czech pils - somewhat sharp-drop dryness mixed with a chalky-soft, fluffy, and fuller malt body... the hops seem to project a menthol cooling sensation
O: I feel like I've had this beer before - Victory tweaked some older recipe to create this... they do well with their German ingredients, adding a touch of this US hop and that... I could see drinking 2-3 of these at a BBQ this summer

a little grassy, a little pilsner-y, a little bit of adjunct, but a decent brew and easy to drink. almost some kind of vegetal and fruit flavors in there too.... foamy white head, slightly sticking to the sides. do you ever wonder if 250 characters might be too many for some brews???
