Poured from my growler into a pint glass that I got filled from Joe Canal's Liquor outlet.

Light straw body color with a very white foamy head. Slow moving sporadic bubbles.

Mostly citrus hops with a background of bread. Not bad smelling at all.

Wow! Very tasty! Citrus hops upfront, some pine, fruity sweetness pops in the middle with breadiness at the end. I detect a little bit of pepper, maybe? This is a quality tasty brew!

Light body, easy drinking, feels nice in the mouth. Medium to high carbonation but doesn't disrupt the feel.

What a refreshing brew! Very tasty! So easy to drink, I had to tell myself not to drink it all up in one sitting. Probably the best summer seasonal this year! (702 characters)

A buddy brought over a selection of Victory last night. I am assuming it’s from a recent Victory Variety pack, but I can’t be sure. After looking over the label several times I do NOT see a best by date on the bottle.

Good looking beer. Perfect 2 finger head that is sudsy and bright white. The beer is a very bright and crystal clear gold color. Just a bubble or two escape. Some sudsy lace clings in clumps.

Aroma is light, fresh, grassy. Surprisingly floral.

My first impression is that this is hoppier than I imagined and is very fresh. A very light cracker/bready malt flavor that’s just lighty toasted. Very subtle. The citrus/floral hops are center stage and steal the show. If this had a touch more bready character it would be awesome. Almost a SN Summerfest. Just not quite.

Light, crisp and refreshing. Yep, that works for an American Blonde and a beer designed for Summer consumption.
For what this is meant to be, this pretty much nails the style. Well done. (981 characters)

A - Pale, champange yellow, somewhat bubbly, but just the slightest of haziness. A thin egg white head that disspates very quickly, which is misleading because the lacing is spectacular. <4.5>

S - Grapefruit, piny, and sweet. Hops are pleasantly present. <4.5>

T - Acute bitterness first hits the pallet, which briefly gives way to a pale malt flavor before a piny moderate bitterness takes over with a subtle alochol flavor behind it. The finish is dry and sticky. Hops are the main attraction, but I would expect no less from Victory. <3.5>

M - Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. <5>

O - Love the hopcentricity of this summer creation. The lingering bitterness makes it a quaffable sipper, while the body makes it possible to take a few down. It might be a better fit as a summer pale ale, but again, expect no less from Victory. <4> (882 characters)

Bottle. Pale crystal clear yellow. Average white head that fades to a film retaining on top.
Aroma is grassy, floral hops. Apricot and light fruity aromas.
taste is a lot bigger and hoppier than I expected. Yum. Lemony with a hint of some German-style malts to make this kind of resemble and pilsener.
Grainy and lively carbonation. Finish is crisp and refreshing. Great hop character. This is a great summer beer. I'll have to stock up on some of this next year. (463 characters)

Had on draft at Phillies game at "The Bank" on a beautiful 90 degree day a few weeks back. Really tasty stuff, perfect for summer weather, watching the game. Just enough hoppiness to satisfy but not overwhelm... Liked it so got some bottles later that were very good, just not the same as the ball park draft experience!

Try it, you'll like it. Hey, it's from Victory, great stuff. (382 characters)

12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear medium yellow with a chunky creamy head. Amazing head retention and lacing.

Smells absolutely fabulous. Tons of citrus and flowers. Grape, bubblegum, along with some grass and pine. This really might be one of the best smelling beers I have ever had.

Nice floral and citrus up front on the taste along with a little bit of light bread. High bitterness takes hold almost immediately and lasts through the finish. Finishes quite clean and dry.

Overall, what an excellent beer! The aroma is just out of this world. My one complaint would be the bitterness feels a little too much for the style but it is a mild complaint. Unfortunately I can't buy this in my area but I am definitely stocking up on my next trip out of town. (770 characters)

Another quality brew from Victory. Ive had their beers in Philly and bottles in SF. This particular style is straight forward: it's summer and summer calls for light style beer. Goes without saying that this is a session beer. Really enjoyable lager. I would purchase again. (274 characters)

Had a 12 oz bottle and poured it into a pint glass.

When I poured it I noticed the lightness of the brew, it made me think of the Headwaters Pale Ale. The aroma was very nice and light, which I would expect in a summer beer. There was a spice and citrus feel to the brew. The head was a nice white color that looked good.

When I sipped it, I noticed a very light taste that went right along with the color of the beer. The whole drink was smooth and pleasant to have.

This is the type of beer that one could have at a pool party or at a BBQ. This is a beer that everyone can enjoy for the summer. (600 characters)

P- AOH

A- pale straw yello in color that is crystal clear. Minimal head and ok lacing.

S- earthy malt aromas with ints of grass and wheat.

F- Lots of flavor in this blonde, dry hops with earthy tones and wheat bread like flavor.

M- crisp and dry. Feels like IPA almost.

D- love this brew...bought a sixer and would buy another. (332 characters)

Very nice sessionable summer ale. I was recently given a six back from a friend from Philly and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this beer.

It's not a crazy flavor profile that will make you ponder each ingredient, but it's by no means one note, either. Plenty of nuance from the grass and citrus. Incredibly drinkable, and exactly what I want for some pool-side or beach drinking this summer. (411 characters)

Pours an effervescent gold, with a sliver of pearl colored head. Nice lacing & head retention

S: Breadyness, perfumy & floral hops, pear

T: Follows the nose, a little dryness as well. Honey malt, floral hops and a little grassiness as this warms. Finishes crisp, dry & fruity

MF: Medium body, lively carbonation, nice balance

Very drinkable old-school golden ale, refreshing, a nice beer to start a session with to be sure (431 characters)

Crystal clear straw color with a fat, pure-white head of frothy suds. Oily, grassy, herbal hop aroma. Cereal grain, zesty citrus juice, and peppercorn. Slick citrus oil flavor finishing with some fresh malt. Quite a bit hoppier all around than I expected. Crisp, grassy, and spicy over a nice cracker-like base. Medium-light and very drinkable. Fresh! Not exactly to style, but another well-crafted beer from Victory... (419 characters)

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Good spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, herbal, floral, lemon zest, grass, light pine, and slight bread. Very nice aromas with a great hop profile and good strength; fairly dank as well. Taste of grapefruit, orange rind, lemon zest, herbal, floral, pine, grass, and bready malts. Good amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, floral, pine, grass, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a short bit. Great blend of hops flavor with good balance. Medium carbonation and body; with a very nice crisp and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden with pretty much no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a really great and well hopped blonde ale. Great balance and hop flavor profile; extremely crisp and very easy to drink. I will be getting this again, great summer beer. (1,051 characters)

Bright medium gold with a fluffy white cap. Nose is bright and juicy, pleasant hops and some orange pulp, everything pleasantly restrained. Mouth is steadily and lightly bitter throughout, straightforward, through a fairly long finish. Light cereal grains and a touch of citrus. Light and pleasant, refreshing. Crisp and snappy, definitely has an edge like a pils but the nose is more pale ale. (394 characters)

Appearance: clear golden, nice head and good lacing.

Smell: very grainy, light citrus and hops.

Taste: medium bodied with bready grain flavor. Citrus and hop flavors round things out.

Overall impression: very drinkable, lots of flavor without being overwhelming. Great lighter option. (358 characters)

This beer was something I wasn't too sure about. I really wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy it and I just figured I'd give it a shot since it was new and I had never had it before. The beer poured out like a typical pilsner or lager, it had a clear yellow color with a pretty good white head. The lacing wasn't the best here. The smell was a little grassy but had a good amount of hops to balance that out. The taste was great, it had a great amount of hops and it was just very simple. The mouthfeel was really refreshing. I must have drank this within a few minutes. I would buy this again if I was planning on drink several beers in a sitting. Overall it was very good. (669 characters)

Aroma is a mix of grassy and bitter hops. The flavor is very beery and grassy, along with a malt backbone and a long and bitter finish. Most beers that are in this style aren’t as intense as this, as this leaves them in the dust in that department. (252 characters)

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint.

Appearance: Light gold with thin white head and spotty lacing.

Smell: Crackers, grass, apple and grapefruit. Somewhat spicy,

Taste: Nice barely sweet base of apple, grass, and crackers. The hops are fairly assertive for the light body, somewhat spicy and floral, with some grapefruit as well.

Feel: Light body with a moderately high level of carbonation, but surprisingly creamy. Very dry finish.

Overall: For a Blonde Ale, this really is a home run. Almost comes across as a blend of a Kolsch ad an IPA. (569 characters)

This nice, clean, golden ale immediately invites with a rich head of fine white foam and spotty lace on the glass.

The aroma? Crisp and delightful, with plenty of fresh citrus hops and even a trace of fruit.

I get more of the hoppiness in the taste, but this one isn't bitter or harsh at all. There seems to be hints of citrus and even apricot in there. A delicious and palate-pleasing summer brew with tons of nuance and flavor, all the while remaining light and drinkable. Winner! (486 characters)

12 oz bottle with a surprising departure from the standard blue background Victory fare. Hot chicks, baseball and ice cream...what more could you ask for? Pours clear with a bubbly white head. Fades pretty slowly and leaves a nice collar.

Nose is juicy citric hoppiness with a lemony-ganja twist. Grains are light and...well...grainy. Some tropical aromas are there too, mangoes, papayas and pineapple even. Very good nose, and certainly one of the better blonde ale aromas, though if I would have guessed before looking here, it would have been APA.

Grainy and biscuit malts play second fiddle to the tantalizingly fresh spectrum of hop characteristics. Flows nicely from juicy flavoring hops to substantial bitterness at the end. Very refreshing, a summer blonde ale with personality and bite. Hops show some saaz-y-ness with a little warming and the beer is not totally unlike Prima. I would not get bored drinking a sixer of this at a BBQ or other summertime gathering. Victory has brought a few tasty new treats to Tx lately, and I thank ye for it! (1,055 characters)

Victory never lets the beer snobs down, and this is once again a nice showing.

Pours a bright golden yellow color with a nice amount of head for a lighter ale.

Smell is citrus zest, orange and tangy with some hops.

Taste is smooth, as a summer ale should be. A nice amount of hops as well.

Overall, a great summer brew. Up there with Sierra Nevada's Summerfest in my opinion. (383 characters)

12 oz. bottle poured into nonic
(enjoy by 8 Sept. 2015 printed on label)

L: clear yellow, very pale and misty-looking despite being quite clear; thick head of white foam about 1-inch tall off a hard pour, shrinks down quickly but keeps a full cap of soapy thick foam with a triple-thick collar; some sticking but no lacing

S: sweet grain, corn, creamed corn; sour grain takes over a lot of the sweetness; as I get 1/3 in, the hop notes begin showing up, very light grassiness, green onion, maybe a bit of black pepper

T: damn ... very grainy and very bitter for the style, a hop-bite of impressive proportion tasting like earth/dirt and maybe a pinch of pepper; the bitterness is stout and lingers well into the aftertaste; very little of the sweet/creamed corn aroma in the flavor at first, but as it warms, the sweetness begins showing through, almost into a bready malt flavor; about 1/3 into it, the American hops begin kicking in a faint citrus note (lemon, lime)

F: fantastic ... light, crisp and easy going down; not watery despite being very, very light

O: the hoppiest blonde ale I've tried so far with a hop bite formidable up front and in the back end; the IBU number for this is likely low, but it comes off as a 60-70+ IBU brew ... with such a light malt profile, the hops really shine here, and the Tettnang hops really tame the American Simcoe and Citra and mix into a floral yet still very Old World taste. One of the best summer seasonals I've come across. (1,484 characters)

12oz bottle, best by Oct 12, 2011, bottled May 12, very fresh.

Pours clear gold with a one finger white head.

Aroma is noble hops, grassy, herbal, some bready malt. Good strength.

Flavor is nice lemon citrus, grassy and herbal hops, bread/cracker malt, mild bitterness, mild sweetness. Very drinkable, crisp and refreshing.

Mouthfeel is light/medium, good carbonation.

A tasty Blonde Ale with a good hop kick. Great beer for the warmer weather. (453 characters)

Got a couple from Dyan. Thanks.

Appearance: Pale clear gold topped by a finger of suds.

Smell: Pils malt up front, and a great pils malt aroma at that. Crackery, slightly creamy but largely crisp. Hops are spicy, floral, leafy, largely German in character.

Palate: A balanced mix of crackery, crisp pils malt and zesty, floral hops wrapped up in a light body. The hops take on a spicy, slightly soapy flavor toward the finish with firm bitterness. Quite refreshing. This doesn't taste far from a pils to me, though the more neutral yeast character really allows the pils malt to shine.

Overall: Quaffable, refreshing stuff. Best no-frills summer beer I've had in a while. (676 characters)
