Arrives in a liter mug, clear, bright, dark yellow with a creamy white head. Awesome lace, fabulous retention.
Smell is hops, malt, some grapefruit. Hops is strongest but not overpowering.
Taste is in line with the smell. Hops first followed by malt and a touch of wood. The same grapefruit note from the hops is here as well as a floral presence. Balance is good.
Medium plus body with a solid, tangy effervescence. Smoother than expected, and pleasantly so.

Had on draft in a typical pint glass. Nice light golden appearance with a finger and a half of white, frothy head.

Typically I'm not expecting too much from a beer that is as light as this was but there was a good malty aroma with some floral overtones and it was a Victory product so I was eager to consume.

The taste was light yet full of malty goodness and just the right hoppy-ness. A perfect balance in my opinion. Very drinkable for both a light beer drinker and for those wanting something more. This is a beer that could convert your Miller and Bud friends into a craft drinker.

Had on draft at Phillies game at "The Bank" on a beautiful 90 degree day a few weeks back. Really tasty stuff, perfect for summer weather, watching the game. Just enough hoppiness to satisfy but not overwhelm... Liked it so got some bottles later that were very good, just not the same as the ball park draft experience!

Try it, you'll like it. Hey, it's from Victory, great stuff.

Served on-tap in a Shaker pint at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Clear honey-golden with short cap of fuzzy off-white head with a skimpy bit of lace at the top of the glass.

S: Grassy and fruity citrus aroma, very nice fresh hops aroma with a little bit of lemon and floral character as well. Malt notes are small but not missing. No real yeast character as it should be.

T: A really crisp, clean beer, although the flavor is good through mid drink but misses on the bitterness (a little too bitter) and the hoppy finish (a little underhopped and really under dry-hopped) that the aromas promise. Maltiness is inobtrusive but supports the hops well with some crackery malt character.

M: Clean and crisp as the style should be with medium to medium-high carbonation and light body.

O: Not a beer I would order all that often, but at the right price point, I could see picking this up occasionally. I could see myself brewing a slightly hoppier version myself for sure, but there is no big flaw in this beer. Solid and enjoyable.

Yikes. I am not a big fan of hoppy, bitter beers, so take this for what it's worth. This is in the top 5 of the worst brews I've ever had.

A: Pale, light yellow in appearance with decent head to begin with, which quickly fades. Some retention left on sides of glass.

S: As rough as this beer tasted, the smell was no better. Lemon zest and citrusy. Not to be mean, but it reminded me of sweaty gym socks.

T: As stated before, I have never been a fan of summer/hoppy brews, so I didn't expect much going in. This was overwhelmingly bitter and citrusy.

O: Just not my glass of beer. It seems to have a great cult following, so if you're in to these types of beers, you may like it. Unfortunately, I did not.

Poured into a straight pint glass.

A. Clear, very clear golden yellow colour, Plenty of white foam at first but it vanishes pretty quickly and leaves a ring of bubbles around the glass.

S. Grain, some malty sweetness, a little bubblegum even, but muted once the head's gone.

T. For a blonde ale this has more going on that I would have expected. There's some sweetness in the taste but also much more hop character than I'm used to for the style, which is a plus I think. A nice bitterness around the edges of the tongue and a citrusy, grapefruit finish.

M. Light, refreshing, nice carbonation without being too prickly.

O. A really nice summer beer and one that I'd seek out again.

Enjoyed at the brewpub in Downingtown, PA

A: thin head with nice lacing on a clear and bright straw colored body.

S: Very floral, nice bitterness with lemon tartness. Light grain and wheat notes.

T: again very floral with strong earthy and bitter hops. Malts and grain are weak but appreciated in the background. Mild citrus, mostly orange notes throughout.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation with a fairly dry finish. Have to take points off here because if you are making a summer beer it needs to be more moist and refreshing.

Overall: I think American blondes are one of the more subjective styles of beer and this one is not only very good but also fairly different from others I have had. That being said it isn't the best summer beer out there fr refreshing character but it definitely has the flavor many summer brews lack.

On-tap 6/26/2012 at Track 84, in Warwick, RI, served in a US pint glass.

A: The beer is a light gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, light caramelized malts and a good amount of hops.

T: The taste starts out with sweet flavors of citrus and caramel. Then a strong but not over-powering hops presence comes in. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to pound down for a while.

On tap at Leesville Tap Room.

A - copper gold with a thin white head that has no retention

S - piny, herbal hop notes

T - piny, herbal, spicy, citrusy hop character with some faint malts in the background

M - light to medium bodied, smooth, well carbonated

This is a decent beer for a summer offering. It has a solid hop character and great drinkinability. I'll definitely try this out again.

Served on tap at Cork City Pub in Hoboken, NJ

A: Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow in color with some very light amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall off-white head that reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of cracker and pils malts along with some floral hops.

T: Similar to the smell, the taste of this beer has flavors of crackery pils malts, hints of lemon, and floral hops. There is a light amount of bitterness and just a hint of pepper/spice in the finish.

M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation.

O: Very easy to drink, very enjoyable, and very sessionable. Nice and light and very enjoyable, goes down easy on a summer day (or evening).

A: A clear blonde ale with a white head. Completely translucent, almost food coloring yellow clear water.

S: Earthy grass and a corn like presence on the nose. Slightly bitter.

T: Crisp and refreshing, but just not my style. Seemed to be a bittered corn beer to me , a blonde ale with minimal malt presence, some bittering, and a light side to it that seemed to be most of the point. Not a bad beer, just not my thing.

M: Watery like body, high carbonation levels.

O: It could be a good summer beer, I would rather have a nice ipa with more malt flavors in it however. Its light and has a decent noble hop presence kick, but just not much in the body or complexity side.

On tap served in pint glass at their brewery

A - Clear, pale with 1 finger white head with good retention and good lacing, nice bubbly head.

S - Lemon, herbal and peppery notes with light yeast aroma.

T - Follows nose, solid wheat backbone, a touch of yeast and alcohol, pretty light beer.

M - Light body, moderate-high carbonation, effervescent, crisp.

O - Nice summer beer, but lacks a lot of meat on the bones much like many beers in this style. Refreshing.

A - Pours straw yellow with a soapy white foam on top. decent lacing on the glass. Small bubbles of carbonation move to the top.

S - Some scent of fresh hops. Also a mild citrus flavor.

T - Very refreshing flavor from a beer that is great for the warm months. Subdued hop profile, and a mild citrus tartness in the finish.

M - Awesomely sesionable. Does not feel watery despite the relaxed flavors. Easily a beer you can sit back and watch the tide roll in with.

O - A solid seasonal from Victory. Perfect beach beer.

Had this on-tap at paradise by the slice.
It had a nice golden straw color body with a nice 2"white head that lay down quickly. The smell was very citrus (lemon and lime). The taste is the same as the smell lemon tasting with a hint of lime and a little bit of malt but just a little bit. The mouth feel is great and overall a very refreshing beer.

Pours a hazy yellow with white head that doesn't last long.

Not much on the nose. Some spice and floral hops, but all very subtle.

Taste is not overly impressive. A nice blonde ale. Light bodied with some floral hop bitterness. Finishes dry.

Doesn't linger.

Overall a nice blonde. Not my favorite style to begin with, but overall this is a solid representation.

On-tap in a tumbler.

A: A little dark for a blonde ale, this is more amber than not. Despite the darker hues, the ale is translucent. A thin white head comes along.

S: Malty, the nose is very grainy with a mild citrus in tow. The maltiness stands out, adding depth.

T: Grainy, darker biscuit flavors are the primary flavor. Citrus is a soft add-on, a flavor element but not the star of the show. Very drinkable.

M: A good way to start the day, mild with a nice malty/citrusy blast.

Had on tap at the Beer Store in Southampton. This stuff looks like a pilsner, smells like cat piss, tastes like a mass produced BMC product. I had to power through this one. God is this gross. Got this on tap served on a pint glass. Appearance was pale yellow and somewhat translucent; you could tell a bit of haziness through the body of the beer. Very small head that surprisingly remained for a while, excellent decorative lacing.

It was hard to judge the smell on this beer because it was very faint but from what I could gather you could tell some garden and minty aromas. Taste was also very herbal and minty, a bit medicinal as well with some metallic taste mixed into it. Decent carbonation. Overall, a decent beer to freshen up a little during hot days but lacking some tones and variety in the taste.

Had this on 2011-06-25 at the brewery

A - Clear gold with a 1-finger head and light lacing.

S - Grass, mild citrus, some hop-floral/cat piss. Pretty mild aroma.

T - Fruity, sweet grape, light-medium roasted grain, nice amount of sour tart and bitterness that lasts quite awhile.

M - Light body and heavy carbonation. Seemed like a non-sweet soda pop. Refreshing.

O - I had this side-by-side with a Victory Headwaters and preferred this one. It was more refreshing and had a more interesting, less malty taste.

Finally, a summer seasonal with a plesantly hoppy finish and no wheat!

Pours a clear straw yellow with decent head and carbonation. Creamy but light mouthfeel is appropriate for a Blonde. The nice but expected bready aroma is followed by an unexpectedly pleasant taste. A refreshing, light citrus flavour with a lingering bitter finish. Love the hops!

Enjoyed my first pint on draught in PA tonight and will seek out again whenever possible..

Served in a standard shaker pint glass. Glass of cold water on the side to sip from periodically. Reviewed from notes.

Appearance: As served the beer is a bright golden yellow color slightly darker than a Pils. There is a 1/4” head that recedes relatively soon but leaves a ring and speckles of lacing. Sipping leaves patches and speckles of lacing for the first half of the beer and the ring persists longer.

Smell: The aromas include some light malt, some floral and citrus from the hops. The citric aroma is pretty much like lemon zest.

Taste: The flavors are quite nice here in that the initial impression is of a sweet malt that soon gives way to a growing hop presence that includes some floral notes, some light traces of pepper and a touch of lemon zest.

Mouthfeel: The mouth feel is on the light side of medium bodied with adequate carbonation. The finish is fairly long and emphasizes the hops but the light “kick” from the hops is soft and pleasant and dry at the end.

Drinkability and Overall Impression: I initially wasn’t expecting much from this beer but was quite pleased at how much I enjoyed it. It was both something nice to drink on its own, and I’ll be happy to do so again, and it was a pleasure to pair with food. My overall impression is that this is a winner. While it may not be world class it is quite good, quite enjoyable, and I’ll be having it again. Definitely a beer for a summer party and to enjoy with a light meal.

Another fine victory draft in my authentic victory growler. Had this in the bottle version and was eager to try on draft.

Pours with a nice honey straw color with an abundance of fluffy white head. It's thick like a shake and is never ending.
Very clear but not very well carbonated.

A nicely aromatic beer with plenty of hop pop of the floral type. Malts are pale and sweet.

Pleasent tasting of balanced goodness.
Hops are sutle in flavor sportingclean floral notes perhaps noble.
Malts are sweet pale and good with a grainy or ceral finish.

Decent mouthfeel with a slight puckering at finish. Semi dry and bitter.

Think APA if deciding to buy.
There's alot of average to ... blondes but this babay kicks the pants off anything to date.
Like a Ryan Howard slam outta here.

Musically I'd pair this beer with second chance by Peter Bjorn and John
